To Anyone In The Way Of Sandy!

Thanks nikki!!!!

Report from boston... VERY windy.... everything is closed - even the T (subway).... but so far no real damage.

Of course I don't want anyone to get hurt or have their things destroyed. I want everyone to be safe. :grouphug: I hope that's a given. No matter where it happens, not just the western world.

Still, I can't help it. I kind of like it when mother earth/nature fights back. Lets face it, we're not treating her very well. Which is easy for me to say, not having to deal with it. Often the worst thing I have to deal with is lots of snow causing some traffic problems or the power being out (often not even for a day).

I agree!
To everyone in the way of Sandy (who's going to get it worse than us in Quebec), Hang on to anything you can and be strong. It's gonna be gone soon enough 😉

*virtual hug*

Here's hoping that the dewstruction is as minimal as possible and that you and your loved ones stay safe.

Yeah, everything around here is closed. I couldn't even go to work today, all the trains were closed. But so far, no major damage, except for my umbrella. It was on its last leg anyway. 😉 Hope everyone else is doing fine. Stay indoors, unless you absolutely have to leave.

NYC got hit pretty bad. Its like a giant swimming pool. My area's not so bad though luckily. Hope everyone else made it through alright.

Another New Yorker here. **resists the urge to play Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York"**

Made it through okay. Still a little rainy and windy here, but the worst of it is done. Mass transit continues to be shut down for the foreseeable future, which sucks as I cannot get in to work now.
Not a whole lot of flooding in my section of Queens, though the streets here are littered with uprooted/broken trees and branches.
To those of you who were/are in the path of the storm, stay safe.

I hope everyone who is getting affected by it will stay safe as well!

It hasn't been too bad here in Ontario where I live. I think a few trees went down but that's it. We mostly just had a lot of wind and rain last night. I think the most the storm did was take off all the leaves off our trees. 😛

I hope everyone else experiences the storm just as mildly!

I was on another forum where a guy in New Jersey said there were sharks swimming through the streets and the boardwalk is gone.

Here in the Toronto area, the winds have died down but the rains have just started. There were some power outages and one woman was killed by a falling sign from a Staples (office supply retailer) store.

I actually just heard about the woman getting killed by the Staples sign! Not a great way to die. 🙁

Here in Binghamton, NY we just got a few wind gusts and some rain. They declared a state of emergency but no emergency happened. I'm not sure how we managed to dodge the bullet, but I'm glad we did.
