To wait or to buy???

hey i need some help ive been really confused on what to do....

buy the comic or wait till season 8 ends and buy the complation of it?????

but will there even be a complation on it??? :jaw_drop:
 
Well I don't want to wait because I need my Buffy fix, but you could order the first arc (1, 2, 3 and 4) here: http://www.tfaw.com/Search/?_result...ercombo_search=pubdate_desc&gallery_mode=grid

Or wait for the first arc to come out in the one paperback in November, but don't wait for the whole season to come out, you could be waiting a few years... could be up to 50 or so issues. That's what I'd do anyway.

Btw, the new covers look awesome! And I thought Issue#5 was coming out early August, but it says July 25 now, that's tomorrow for me! 😀

personally, i recommend buying them as they are issued out. it's just i never got to see the show while it was still airing new eps, so waiting for each issue to come out is like waiting for a new episode. it's kinda fun with all the suspense and waiting (except when you finish the issue and are like 'can next month get here any faster!')

Oh ya no waiting. Get all you can when you can. 🙂 I can not wait, cause I am not a patient person, so I will have everything they bring out. It's very exciting.

Wait or buy?

I'll probably do both 🙂

I'll carefully read the single comics, then pack them away safely, and when the TP is released, use it to read whenever I want.

This is my plan exactly. It's nice to get a quick Buffy fix with the single issues, but when it's time to revisit the old stories, it's nice to have them collected without the ads.

Ya really. Nice to pull out just one book instead of 5 seperate ones.
Will there be a variant for the TP? I have not heard anything yet, if so, darn in a way. But also good because well I am keeping the variants for safe keeping and reading the regulars.
 
It's best to buy them as the issues come out, because I mean supposedly Season Eight is going to continue for about the next four years, because if you read Joss' interview he says he's up to about 50 issues of Season Eight. If you look at that on a month by month basis and with the fact that sometimes they skip a month that's about 4 1/2 years.
 
I'm so buying the TPB aswell, the covers fantastic! Does anyone know a site where you can buy the big prints of the art work, cuz the picture is awesome!!

wow. 50 issues!?! that's insane! but SOOO awesome! i'm probably going to buy all the individual issues, then buy the TP. that way it's not a hassle having to take out each issue to read them, when they're all conveniently bound as one...
 
I really cannot wait for the TPB. Even tho I have all the issues you still just have to have it ya know? I am just waiting on a variant for that one.
 
I was gonna wait until they put out the first collected edition myself but once I realized that wouldn't come out until November I knew I wouldn't be able to wait.

I picked up #1, 4, and 5 from my local comic book store the other day and ordered #2 and 3 online. I read #1 and now I"m still waiting for the next two issues to arrive.

Mostly I was afraid that I'd accidentally read what happened but I'm glad I decided to go ahead and pick them up. It'll give me a little something Buffy-related to look forward to every month.

Trade Paper Back, i'm guessing. it's the collective of the first 5 issues of the comics. even though i have al the seperate issues, i'm still gonna fork out for this. the cover image is just too beautiful to pass up.

This is something I've thought about doing, and please don't stake me for thinking it. I'll probably re-sell my comics back to the store and buy the trade when it comes out because the trade displays better. I have way too many comic boxes just sitting around collecting dust, where as I can put a trade on a book shelf and re-read it again and again.

The trade is just better for organizing but I'll still continue to order every issue, since I can't wait 6 months between trades to find out what's going on. I'll just sell them back when the trades come out. Blasphemy, I know, but for those of us with pack rat addictions and running out of room, it's really our only option. I don't wanna be one of those people on Montell.
