Today I learned

Today I learned that in ancient china, in the western zhou time, a way of thinking called legalism was developed out of confucianism. It basically stated that the human being is evil, since he or she acts out of self-interest only. Therefore humans must be reigned with iron so to speak. Which also meant there should be a secret police spying on people, suppression of any political opposition and a general atmosphere of fear in a good governed state.

As a Chinese, I would like to say it's not developed out of confucianism. It shared the same origin with Taoism (yes it's true, don't be surprised, it's called “老子与韩非同传”). After the legalists won and dragged China into darkness, confucianists struggled for 2,000 year to fight against them. But confusionists were gradually corrupted as the form of ruling corrupted and became no different to them after the 15th century.

The emperors and their bureaucrats always used the strategy of claiming themselves to be confusionists to deceive the people, but doing things the legalist-style. It's called “明儒暗法”.

That's a brilliant idea! Make a cake in the shape of an insect so no one will steal it. Of course, someone may smash it or dose it with Raid...

Today I learned you can teach a bunny to binky!

I read if you flick your hair or jump, bun will understand. It worked the first time, although I think it was more of a wtf you stupid human jump. Now she gets it, and it's so freaking funny!

Also I can make her purr from across the room by looking at her. Bunnies are hilarious.

I did not know you can teach a bunny anything, so I guess that is the first thing I learned today morning.

Today I learned what a binky was/is. The news is not so great as to warrant it's own binky, nevertheless still insightful.

Today I learnt the impotence of spelling properly during sex education.

I also learnt that it was 95% a certainty that climate control was started by humans. And that the other 5% was caused by cows blowing raspberries naturally. And that the Australian government has said that the other 4% is a phallacy.
