Tom Hardy fuels James Bond rumours

So nothing solid, but its out there at least that in his words "it would be cool"😀 And I agree with him that Nolan would be a good choice to direct.

What do you think about the prospect of Hardy as the next Bond? Are you a fan of his?
 
I don't think there's anything, directors, actors or otherwise, they could do to interest me in any Bond film. It's always been that way.

I find Hardy overrated myself. He's great in some things, and very forgettable in others. My main concern is that his Bond would turn into too much of a action style Bond. I'm still holding out for Elba😛
 
Bond has pretty much always been eye candy (he is the best imo from the line up suggested all over the place)...he has to be as he has a reputation to protect! 😛🙄
 
Tom Hardy as Bond - yes! That would be perfect. I'd definitely watch. Might even be better than Craig. Hardy is the best I've heard linked with the role so far

Better than Elba? I think Elba would be better. Not just because for me he's a better actor, but also he would bring a more cultured, and experienced air to the part.

I think Hardy's Bond would come across as quite rough lol. It would be difficult for him to blend into posh surroundings like Bond has to do.

I don't want Elba for Bond because (and I have to be really careful how I word this so that it doesn't come out the wrong way) all the Bonds are supposedly the same character played by different actors. So whoever is Bond after Craig is meant to be the same character but with their own styling. Elba would not be believable as being the same character as Craig's Bond for an obvious reason just like an actress playing Bond would not be believable as the same character for an obvious different reason.

I don't think Craig is that good a Bond. He's too cold and unfeeling. Even Dalton's Bond, who was meant to be a darker Bond, shows more emotion than Craig's Bond. Craig is too pouty.

I kind of like Tom Hiddleston as Bond. I just hope it's not Aidan Turner or Jamie Bell.

What a fantastic choice to have. Elba or Hardy. Both of them are great actors, tons of charisma, very good looking. Tough choice. Although I suspect Hardy would think Bond was too low-brow and cheesy for him.

Craig is my favourite Bond, I love the cruelty and coldness of his character, just as I imagine a killed would be like. Tom Hiddleston, though a good actor, seems very mannered and too upper-class, he couldn't play a killer convincingly for me. Aidan Turner is just good looking and Jamie Bell leaves no impression at all

I'd take Hiddleston as Bond (I'd take Hiddleston anywhere, any time, any place, but that's by the by.... 😉) but I'm not convinced on Hardy. Sure, he can play the fighter and I'd believe HardyBond taking on a load of bad guys, but can he be a sensual, romantic leading man? Bond has to be good with the on-screen ladies. I've never seen him play a convincing romantic lead.

Whereas with Elba, he'd be convincing as both a lover and a fighter. I'd love it if they offered it to Idris Elba, but due to his age (he's only 4 years younger than Daniel Craig)m and the fact they'll want him to sign a multi-picture deal, I don't think they would ever offer it to him..... 🙁

I'd love to see Hiddleston as Bond. However , if the choice was between Hiddleston as Bond or Hiddleston continuing to be Loki, I'd choose Loki any day of the week. 😀

Absolutely. However his gig as Loki will be up soon, as they're not planning any more Thor movies after Ragnarok, and unless he becomes a reoccurring MCU character, that's his contract up with Marvel.....

Loki should definitely be in Infinity War since he is the only link the Avengers have to Thanos at this current moment in time.

I thought they were continuing the MCU movies past Infinity war? How do they plan to do that if they start cutting out the big players?

Disagree on Craig, but I do agree on Dalton. He's my second favourite Bond after Connery and Living Daylights is a classic🙂

Even if I was a massive Hiddleston fan (which I'm not), I think the time has passed for him. He's too well known.
