Tom Lenk in a Quickbooks commercial

I was watching "The Walking Dead" tonight, and Tom Lenk was in a QuickBooks commercial. I was kinda surprised to see him doing commercials, but then he hasn't had a lot of work in the past couple years. I guess he figured it would help pay the bills!

That's funny, I just saw him in that new Ben Affleck movie, "Argo". He only had one line in one scene, but it was kind of neat spotting him out of nowhere. I liked his cameo in Cabin in the Woods too.

I'll have to youtube that commercial.

I've always felt a little curious about actors and actresses like Tom Lenk who we don't see that often. I mean sure, from time to time they pop up in a movie or T.V. show, but I wonder what they do to get by the rest of the time. I'm sure he made good money from his run on Buffy, but that was almost ten years ago, and his acting, like you said, has been sporadic at best. I wonder if he has an everyday job.

Not sure about everyday job but he's things to do. Tv, movies and commercials aren't the only acting jobs. I don't know how well paid it is (probably not that much) but he seems to do theater work. From tome to time he pops up on Katherine Reitmans Breaking it down videos on youtube. Doubt that pays much, if any, though.
