Tony to appear in Dr Who

Exciting news (to me anyway) from the BBC Dr Who site. Tony Head is to appear in the next series of Dr Who.

Season two cast and crew details.

Penelope Wilton returns as Harriet Jones in the Christmas Special. Anthony Head (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Little Britain) and Adam Garcia (Coyote Ugly, Saturday Night Fever The Musical) are now confirmed to star in series two. Elisabeth Sladen resumes her role as the iconic character Sarah Jane Smith; remembered by a whole generation of Doctor Who fans as the assistant to both Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. Camille Coduri returns as Rose's mum Jackie and Noel Clarke as Mickey.

The Christmas Special will be screened later this year and series two is scheduled for spring 2006. Writers include Russell T Davies, Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss, Toby Whithouse, Tom Macrae, Matt Jones and Stephen Fry. The directors include James Hawes, Euros Lyn and Graeme Harper.

The producer is Phil Collinson; Executive producers are Head of Drama, BBC Wales, Julie Gardner and Russell T Davies.

We talked about this at work and decided that there was only one part Tony should play...The Master (Dr Who Master, not Buffy Master btw 🙂) He would be excellent in that role.

We have a sad, fanboy corner in my new office btw...it helps make a sh1t job slightly more bearable 😉

Yeah I read it in the paper yesterday and came to tell everyone but Mr P beat me to it lol. Cant wait for christmas special/2nd series and now its going to be even better with ASH in it!!!

According to the BBC Dr Who site, Tony will be appearing in the same ep that sees the return of K9 and popular companion Sarah Jane Smith.

Further to my last post, the latest I've read is that Tony will play a villainous head-teacher in the ep, which will be set in a school (as the BBC link says)...that sounds like a happy Faith and Xin Rong then 😉 I haven't a link, as it was in the latest Dreamwatch and they want you to buy their mag rather than get it for free online, miserable buggers 🙂
