Too Much sex

There is to much sex in these shows.Buffy is turning into a slut she is having kinky sex all the time and it is vary graphic.I don't understand why she had sex in front of her house with spike I mean come on she has a sister in that house.Buffy is vary beutiful one of the most beutiful women in the world next to piper in charmed but the old shows where better.I bought the first season dvd and so did my dad who is 50 so I everbody watches
Buffy lets go back to kicking deamon butt.
 
I agree that Buffy is very beautiful. Any fool can see that. However, is it the sex with Spike that's disturbing or the sex in general? She and Riley were doing it like bunnies back in S4 and early S5. Check out Where the Wild Things Are and Into the Woods.
 
There was an event once, where Joss Whedon and SMG appeared. he slated Cruel Intentions for having too much sex in it (there is one sex scene I think, and quite a few implications) and SMG retalliated he shuld look at his own show, Buffy, because she was proud of every moment of cruel intentions. i think she herself was a little uncomfortable with teh sex (when buffy was with riley) but to be honest, I think it's part of a valid plot development (although it is a little gratuitous. I did feel the slight tingle of embarassment when watching it with my mum and boyfriend!) and to be fair, how many 20 somethings do you know who have never made a bad sexual choice? (It's probably more than I'm expecting and I'll get slated for this, but I'm standing up for my views 🙂 )
 
Actually I usually agree that what the show is doing is the right way to go but in this instance I think that less is more. I don't really think it needs to be that *graphic* I think it's probably about a TV NC-17 the way things had been going for awhile and it certainly wasn't adding to my enjoyment of the show. I know where it was nesscary but I think they need to tone down the sexual content of the show, it's just getting weird now.
 
Its just reality and the chemistry between james and sarah is explosive! Maybe it should leave a bit to the imagintion, though, i dunno, I live in the uk so have just started to see the 'graphic' sex in smashed. It is realistic though, and viewers are not young young kids!
 
I agree with Willow. But it think it was very harsh to call Buffy a slut. She's in her 20's but has only slept with four boys. I guess that maybe a lot to some people but to others it's not. Buffy is not a slut. She doesn't just sleep with anybody.
She was in love with Angel.
She thought Parker really liked her
She was in love with Riley
I guess a bit of her doesn't know what she's doing with Spike. But i think she show is fine as it is. Buffy is just doing what a normal person will do, sometime in their life.
 
Agree with willow (as said before) and *bad*slayer* - she is no ****. I dont think 4 is a lot at all and she REALLY like/loved them all, with spike she is confused but there is definite chemistry! The shows good and joss can do no wrong, in my opinion!
 
I agree with Willow. Buffy and Spike's relationship is necessary to understand what Buffy is going through right now. To see the look on her face during. Something's wrong, and this is the way she's finding out. Riley helped point it out and now she's going to try to get better.
 
I agree that Buffy is not a slut. I agree that the sex is a necessary part of the show, and I actually love her and Spike together (even though it would never last) but some of the scenes are just gratuitous. Like when Buffy was invisible (funniest episode by the way, "I'm... exercising!" "Ouch!") but then Buffy goes to give him a blowjob. Or when he takes her from behind in the Bronze, or when they're doing against the wall utside her work..... nothing actually wrong with either of them, but they're a bit gratuitous for prime time television...
 
But they come on after the watershed time. In the uk, new episodes are shown at 8 oclock - the time basically when dodgy stuff can be shown. But the repeat is shown at 5pm and i watched the end and their sex scene is edited, with the graphic stuff OUT so if you didnt know better, it would be alright for anyone to watch - just kissing, really!
 
Ok I agree that it's needed for the show but I'm just saying that it doesn't have to be that graphic. There are probably other ways to get what they need to get across without compromising younger viewers and even making other viewers feel uncomfortable. I didn't start watching Buffy to have to sit through those kinds of scenes and everyone I've talked to about it just don't like the way that was going.

I agree though that Buffy isn't a slut. Four guys does not equal slut, sometimes Buffy made some bad choices but we all make bad choices.
 
tehehe that's good. ^_^ You should always stick to your points or umm whatnot. I'm not very word eloquent today. I see your point though also, I usually agree with the show's use of sex but in this case I'm just getting a little sick of it. ^_^ course naked Spike=goood. ^_~

*sigh* naked Spike. my Buffy Girls and I can't for the love of God understand why they don't show more of Naked Spike... or.. uh... MORE of NAKED SPIKE.. but then we realize... do we really want to see that anyways? Guys are most attractive in boxers just falling off their hips anyway.
 
Living in the UK, I have only seen one graphic sex scene so far, but I have faith in Joss that it must be pertanent to the script else it wouldn't be included.
However, when your dad is an avid BtVS (& Angel) fan and is sat watching with you, it can be a wee bit uncomfortable....And I'm 28 for pitys sake....::change::
 
I have no problem with the display of sex on the show. I mean yeah it happens a lot.... but hey it doesn't bother me. After watching 9 years of The X-Files I need it. *lol*

Buffy Ann Summers, eh, yeah! Lets start a campaign for more naked spike! Lol,need to make up a slogan. how bout "more naked spike"? i think boxers are sexy though.

I live in the uk too, Queen c, and have seen only on eproper one too, but i have complete faith in joss the genius too! I think there is nothing wrong with realism as long as its shown appropriately as the right time, and not just for the sake of it!

I am very opinionated, lol!
