Top 10 Memorable Buffy & Angel Moments - WatchMojo

I don't agree with all the picks. I'm not the biggest fan of the drinking scene from Graduation. I kind of just accept it as part of their story but it's never been a thing/scene I love.

The first 3 picks are very good and I agree they would definitely be up there for me but I'm disappointed the Forever scene isn't there at all. It's my favorite Buffy/Angel scene because it's a perfect mix of everything that I love about the relationship.

My top 10 would probably be something like this :

  1. Forever scene (Forever)
  2. Angel showing up at prom/Wild Horses (The Prom)
  3. Close your eyes (Becoming part 2)
  4. I felt your heart beat/there's not enough time (IWRY)
  5. their perfect day (IWRY)
  6. talk at Angel's place (Earshot)
  7. I just want to bask/cookie dough speech (Chosen)
  8. their first kiss in Buffy's room (Angel)
  9. kiss at the bronze at the end of Angel
  10. scene at the skating rink (What's My Line part 1)
 
I didn't like Angel at all (whilst he was on Buffy), so my favourite bit is when Buffy kills him

This thread is obviously for Bangel/Angel fans, so what's the point of posting something so negative in a thread which is supposed to be positive? Seems a bit mean.

Bit harsh 😛

I think Angel did become a better more rounded character on his own show whereas on Buffy, the focus was more on, well, Buffy. However, to make the killing him to save the world more emotional, the audience had to believe in their relationship which the show achieved.

Angel was a lot better in Season 2 than in Season 1.

I liked him on Angel, it's just on Buffy he was not really well established as a character and I found him dull and irritating. I knew the end was emotional because I understood what he meant to Buffy but I was happy he was dead. The whole overly obsessed Romeo and Juliet thing really did not appeal to me at all.
And yeah I know I'm harsh when I don't like characters, you should see me with other shows like Lost, I spent the whole six seasons waiting for the main character to die because I hated him so much 😂.

I can agree with this. Angelus is what made Angel interesting on Buffy.

And yeah I know I'm harsh when I don't like characters, you should see me with other shows like Lost, I spent the whole six seasons waiting for the main character to die because I hated him so much 😂.

I know that feeling. I was waiting for Clara to be killed off in Doctor Who for so long. The fake outs in the Christmas episode with the rip off face huggers was annoying. When she was eventually killed off, there was a sense of karmic justice because she literally brought it on herself. Unfortunately, the writers ruined it by bringing her back at a later date.

Put it this way, I hate Kennedy with a passion, that's no secret on here. I hate Clara more than I hate Kennedy.

And you mentioned another one where I tend to hate characters, I gave up on doctor who after the actor changed to Peter Capaldi. I used to love doctorr who as well but it just got more and more ridiculous. I would watch Torchwood or Sarah Jane adventure's before any season after Matt Smith left as the doctor.

Same here. Clara killed Doctor Who for me. I've been watching it with the new Doctor and it's alright, much better than the Capaldi years, but still not reaching the heights of the Tennant or Amy Pond Smith years.

JM guest starred in Torchwood.

Granted I don't really like Angel so I can't say I was disappointed to see him die, but Buffy loves him but still kills him to save the world.
It's clearly not the happiest of their time together but it's one of the most important, if not the most important part of season 2.
The video didn't say most romantic or happiest moments, it was most memorable. And you can't say that Buffy stabbing some dude in the heart, who she loves more than anything, is not memorable.

The point is that I posted this in the Bangel section for a reason, and starting your post off with 'I hate Angel' isn't exactly a contribution from a Bangel shipper, or even a Bangel supporter. For example, I'm staying out of this discussion because I have very little positive to say myself, so I know it's not my place. If I wanted to do that, I would have posted this in a different part of the boards.

EDIT: My mistake, you started off with 'I don't like Angel', the rest of my post still stands 🙂
 
@Puppet Thank You for posting this video. I enjoyed watching it and it did my Bangel heart good. I agree that it covered the big moments in Buffy and Angels relationship.

But personally, I put Becoming P2, when Buffy kills Angel in number 1 ALWAYS, it is just the most ICONIC and memorable for me.
Their first time together in Surprise N°2.
Claddagh ring in Surprise is N°3.
Angel drinking Buffy's blood N°4 and I want to put the scene in Anne between Buffy & Angel in the beach in Buffy's dream N°5.

And then I don't know how to rank the rest but the Tai Chi scene is also memorable.

but still, it is a pretty epic moment when she kills him.
