7.Beauty and the Beast...Disney perfection
8.The Wind that Shakes the Barley...the most honest telling of the Irish War of Independence I have ever seen and the fact that it was directed by an Englishman astounds me at times.

I loved The Life of David Gale!
(Some of these you may not have heard of, but they were popular with MY generation)

1- The Quiet Man

2- The Alamo (John Wayne version)

3- Red River

4- The Tall Men

5- Ben Hur

6- The Ten Commandments

7- Enter The Dragon

8- Rio Bravo

9- Silent Rage (Just because I loved the sheer absurdness of the plot!)

10- Demetrius and the Gladiators (Because Victor Mature was a greater gladiator then Crowe could EVER be!)

If you've never seen 'em, check 'em out. You may be impressed.

The Talented Mr. Ripley karma!
Crowe vs Mature

What you talking about!! Crowe was FANTASTIC!!!

I saw "Gladiator" and loved it. I still believe "Demetrius..." was the better movie, just as Mature was the better actor. If you've never seen it, you really have to see "The Robe" first because it is a sequel. Not only was Mature better, the older movie had a far better supporting cast, better sets (real arena/structures, not computer generation. I love the new special effects made possible by computers, but nothing beats the real thing), a better plot, and a MUCH happier ending.

(It also had Susan Hayward, who lived here in Georgia. A guy's just gotta support those beautiful sexy Georgia girls. My dad actually met her once, but that's a story for another time.)
