Top 5 books

Hey everyone!
I've posted on the book thread before, but im happy i've found somewhere where i can actually talk to other people about the books for a change! 🙂

Just been thinking, what were everybody's top 5 Buffy books? Even though theres that many out!

I've finally managed to narrow down my list to these:
1)Tempted champions (hence my username!)
2)Child of the hunt
3) Queen of the slayers
4)Pretty maids all in a row
5)The gatekeeper trilogy

I own a load of Buffy books but have barely broke the back on them, i don't get to read as often as i'd like and its very few and far between.

I started Richarch Layman's fun land ages ago and still have loads to go in it so once i've finished that (god knows when that will be) i'm back on with the Buffy books.

Out of the ones i i have read how ever my faves are;

1)Ghoul trouble
2)Doomsday deck
3)Crossings
4)Chaos bleeds
5)The book of fours

Also read the harvest,halloween rain, coyote moon,night of the living rerun,visitors,deep water,dark congress (i dint think much to some of these mind).

The one i want to read next are blackout,temted champions,Oz into the wild,immortal,monster island.

Ye that gona take some long time to do lol.

Can any one recommend the best ones to read first? Don't no when i'll be able to get round to it though lolz.

The Lost Slayer - one of my favourite stories period. Giles character should have been explored like that in the show in my opinion. He would have been the greatest season 7 Big Bad!!!!

Monster Island - I love the concept and I love cross-overs. Plus I love how it deals with Doyles parentage.

Immortal - I just like this book.

I cannot for the life of me remember the name (someone help me out) but the story is an Angel one. I think its season 1 and Cordelia is a contestant on a Reality TV show, like Big Brother, and she has a Vision while there that she has to get Angel to understand and solve without telling everyone.

The Book of Fours - I love the Faith/Kendra/India/Buffy story

If anyone knows the name of this book, can you PLEASE let me know, 'cause it sounds interesting and I'd really like to read it.

Ok, my top five:

1) The Book of Fours. I love the history that's explored during this book, bringing four Slayers together.

2) Lost Slayer. Like BoTD said, it's just a great story, period. it's so interesting and different, I would have loved to have seen that as an episode, or something.

3) Endangered Speices. I so can't spell that word. But I love this book, and the relationship between Angel and Faith.

4) Monster Island. An epic cross over, and I love it. I love seeing all the major characters interact, and it was great to get to remember Doyle again.

5) Go Ask Malice. Another Faith-centric novel. Her story before she came to Sunnydale was gret to read.

Lyri it is called Haunted must be season 2

Cordy's finally getting a big break "” she will be a contestant on some "reality programming". She must spend five days and four nights in an apparently haunted house. Living with a ghost and catching demons for a living, she sees this as an easy challenge. However, there is more going on than Cordy knows. In a vision on her first night, she sees one of the applicants who didn't make it to the show. She secretly communicates the scenario to Angel and Co., who are instantly on the case.

Angel, Wesley and Gunn search for the missing actress as supernatural activity at the house increases. Soon, Wolfram and Hart also get involved and Cordelia is forced to consider her priorities.

Ohh I can't believe I forgot Sins of the Father!

I love that story, especially as it involves Pike and a demon that changes people to stone

Ohh and Stranger to the Sun is awesome, especially the Wesley story set in England in the coal mine.

I'm gonna add Chaos Bleeds and Blood and Fog to my list.

Well, I have not read any of the fictional ones, so mine are non-fiction. Here are a few I have read and found quite interesting:

i forgot about the lost slayer! i totally loved that book! i gotta agree with Bored Of The Dead-evil vampire giles would have made an awesome bid bad!

so is the dark congress book worth having then? i was looking at it today in a bookshop down in town at the back cover and the shop assistant got really arsey with me saying that it wasnt a library! so i said to her that i wasnt gonna buy something if it doesnt seem appealing to me! then i put it down and walked away! i was only trying to see if it was worth parting with my hard earned pennies for!

Dark Congress is an ok read...it's a LOT different to the offical, canon S8, but it's so much better than Queen of the Slayers.

I havent read all the Buffy/Angel books and for some its been quite a while since I've read them but here's my top 5:

1) Gate Keeper Trilogy - it has great action and I love the Bangel moments.
2) Monster Island - the characters are very well written, the action is amazing and the storyline is very interesting.
3) Sins of the Father - its just a great Bangel book 🙂
4) Immortal - another of my favorite Bangel books
5) Book of Fours - great action and really well written.
