From all wakes of the universe ^_^ What are your top 5 episodes from all your favorite sci-fi shows that have brought tears to your eyes? Which episodes have been cry worthy?

Show - Episode
5 Stargate Atlantis - Sunday - Becket's death and how the characters act afterwards, before and during. Rodney's scene in particular.
4 Angel - Hero - Doyle's Heroic death, brings tears to my eyes right as he tells Angel he understands what it means to sacrifice.
3 Smallville - Pariah - Alicia's death , and that Clark doesn't believe her. Then finding out she was telling the truth and the murderer framed her.
2 Buffy - The Body - When Anya tells Willow she doesn't understand and doesn't know why mortal life is so stupid and mortal. Gets me every time.
1 Roswell - Cry Your Name - And #1 after Alex's death this entire episode is so sad, you can't keep yourself from crying for nearly every scene.

Now these are my Top 5 Cry Like a little girl episodes 🙂 What are yours?

Angel: Shells (When Fred asks Wesley why she can't stay oh my it is soo sad)
Buffy: Chosen (that scene between Spike and Buffy gets me every time)
Charmed: Oh My Goddess Part 2 (When Leo has to leave Piper it makes me cry so much because they are meant to be)

I can't think of any others but I really don't cry very much when I am watching tv or movies. ::huh1::

I cry a lot so I don't pay that much attention any more to the episodes I cry lol BUT let's still look through my memory:

Roswell: Cry your name - like Gategod said Alex's death. It was heart-breaking. 🙁
Grey's Anatomy: As we know it ( the second part of "It's the end of the world", season 2) Meredith's hand over the explosive and in the body of the patient. The idea about choice under stress condition and how sad it is when you crack. How relieved when someone helps you out. I dunno, I cried a lot on that one.
BuffySeeing Red - Tara's death and how everybody felt and dealt with it.
AngelShells - the obvious reason. To watch someone that struggles so much to live is horrifying.

I can't make them five though. These are perhaps my top three. I literally couldn't stop crying on them. Well seeing what everybody has written it seems it's only death that evokes such a strong reaction. This seems somehow sad to me.

yea ^_^ Cry your name was AMAZING!!
As I am sitting here trying to think of other shows that I have cried on, I am coming up blank. Buffy is really the only show that I have been into enough that I feel connected to the characters.

I have cried during many Buffy eps. but here are my top 5.
(From the first one to make me cry to the last)
I Only Have Eyes For You: I love this episode. At the end, when Buffy and Angel have been taken over, oh goodness. Heartbreaking.
Wild At Heart:
Willow: Oz, don't you love me?
Oz: My whole life I've never loved anything else.
I think that says everything.
The Body: Obviously everything/anything in this episode.
The Gift: I thought, honestly, that I could make it through another Buffy death. But when they flashed to Spike crying, I lost it. Cried like a baby.
Tabula Rasa: This is also my favorite episode of the series. I love the last scene when everyone is leaving or dealing with their own things. The song and everything was perfect. I still cry when I hear that song.
Grave: I know we were only supposed to do 5 but at the end of this episode when Willow is crying in Xander's arms and her hair changes from black back to Willow red is bittersweet.

Ah yes! I should have added Wild At Heart as well !! Oz/Willow scene at the end was so sad!

I'm not much of a cryer, I'd say its about four years since I really shed a tear so I'll pick the eps that nearly made me cry!!

Roswell-Cry your Name- As everyone has already said, it was just awful to watch especially when Max goes to try and heal him and Isabel tells her own little story of how everthing is going to be ok and it just isn't. So sad.
BTVS- The Gift- The first time I saw this I was pretty much unaffected but I saw it recently and it shattered me, the music and her body lying broken across the rubble, it tore me up.
BTVSBecoming II- This is the reason I watch the show. It's tv at its absolute best, the music by Sarah McLachlan and Christophe Beck in the last 5 minutes, its just exquisite and the acting was unbelieveable. No matter how many times I watch it when Buffy tells Angel to close his eyes I STILL get chills.
ANGEL-I will remember you- This one ACTUALLY made me cry,it broke my heart. Like Becoming II it is the last few minutes that do it. Buffy pleading with Angel and mostly her promise to never forget but only a second later she does! Joss ripped my heart out and because it is fanastic to watch he does it repeatedly. Gutwrenching.

how right u are about 'i will remember you'. when sarah goes "oh god, its not enough time", then her eyes and then "I'll never forget, i'll never forget..." its just too much to handle. and im not much of a cryer either
ok, i admit it, i'm a big sap! i cry at EVERYTHING! i even cried yesterday at a poem my best friend sent me! i've lost count of the number of times Buffy and Angel have made me cry...'Passion', 'Becoming' (even though i'm SO not a Bangel fan), 'Wild At Heart', 'The Body', 'The Gift', 'Grave', 'Chosen', 'Hero', 'You're Welcome', 'Hole in the World'/'Shells', 'Power Play' 'Not Fade Away' and probably a whole lot more i've forgotten about.

aside from Buffy and Angel, i'm not good with ep names, so i'll just...yeah...

Supernatural: This is the only one i know the name of. the season 2 ep 'Heart' when Sam had to shoot werewolf Madison. it wasn't really anything to do with Sam, it was Dean's reaction, the silent tear that fell and the flinch when the gun went of.

Roswell: the ep everyone named above, when Alex died. Max trying to save him and Isabel's reaction. *sob* i also cried at the last ep the first time i watched it. i seriously thought that everyone was gonna die! lol

Dark Angel: whatever ep it was when Alec (yep, another Jensen Ackels moment, lol) and Max were talking about Alec's Manticore twin Ben, and how Max had to kill him...and yes, i also cried when i saw that actual ep! lmao

and i know it's not a TV show, but i cried at Serenity when Wash died.

So many people have seen Roswell I don't feel so alone ^_^ haha

LOL - you're not a sap, I cry at EVERYTHING, too! BIG cryer!
I actually don't watch much sci-fi or fantasy. Unless you count soap operas, which dip into both genres from time to time. Oh, and Xena and Hercules.

In no particular order, here are the five TV episodes that made me cry:

Buffy - The Body. It was intense.
Angel - Fred's death. Beautifully written and performed.
General Hospital - Stone's... well, most of the Stone story was a tear fest.
General Hospital - Michael's "death." A close friend of mine walked in on me crying. Until recently, it was the only time she (or any of my friends) had ever seen me cry. I don't cry easily. For an episode to make me cry, well, that's saying something.
Lonesome Dove: The Series - Hannah's death.

So basically, death of a beloved character makes me cry -- but only if I'm alone (with the exception of Michael's "death"). In my defense, I was alone when I watched Michael's death. My friend just sort of opened the door and barged right in and caught me crying. lol.

OMG! I cried buckets when Stone died! I'm tearing up just thinking about it.
I agree with everyone to be honest. The only time I ever cried at a death, though, was the end of Charmed. SHUT UP ALL OF YOU. Mostly because it was the only show on air that I had a message board to go along with. Tears of joy, though.

Ok, so the first one is a little strange, but I was a little kid at the time and it was the first time I ever cried during a TV show.

Magnum PI (I know)-- I don't remember the episode title, but it's the one where he dies. I used to watch it with my mom all the time and when he died it was horrifying! I cried my self to sleep that night.

Angel -- I Will Remember You. I know, it's sorta Buffyverse cliche and after watching it a bazillion times some of the acting is not that great, but it still gets me every time. The part where he walks out onto the pier and kisses her and the part at the end when she'll "never forget". *Le sigh*

Buffy -- The Body. The entire beginning of that episode tears me up. The reality of the situation presented is intense and makes me cry everytime I watch it. Also the afore mentioned scene with Anya.

General Hospital -- Everytime I watch and see what a mockery they've made of Lucky and Liz's relationship. Haha. I hate Liason.... Seriously though, when Lucky died in the fire and Liz finally broke down to Nikolas. *sniffle*

I can't think of a number 5 right now, so there's my top 4.

Dude, I am so totally on board with the LnL2 love/Liason hate! Oh - and Georgie's death is turning into a daily tearjerker, too. Poor Mac!
Hmm.. sci-fi? then it's kind of only buffy episodes, but I cry to them all. lol
I think I've cried every season finale... so that's 7 episodes. And lots more to go to the list, but my biggest cry of all times was when Buffy killed Angel in season two. After that I was so fragile, someone could mention anything about buffy and I was about to burst into cry.
Yes I know I'm very silly, but... tv moves me. lol

It's okay, Lillie. TV has the same effect on me. My best friend LOVES to tell the story about how the first time she ever saw me cry (four years into our relationship) was over the death of a soap character who wasn't even really dead. lol.
Buffy - The Body
Sopranos - Adrianas death
Sopranos - Christophers death
Rome - Verenuss death
Band of Brothers - pretty much every episode

Band of Brothers karma.....I cry all the way through it. The horror on Liebgott's face as he sees the death camp for the first time almost makes me whimper.
When it's a character you don't really know it doesn't affect me... but anything else. I cry, cry and cry xD

I've only ever really got into 3 tv shows enough to be able to cry about them, and they're Buffy, Angel and Tru Calling.

Buffy: Becoming Part 2 from where angel gets his soul back and she kills him through to the credits I was crying
The Gift when Buffy sacrifices herself.. The music there always gets me crying! 😛 Especially the V.O to Dawn...
At the end of Tabula Rasa when they play "Goodbye to you" always gets me crying
I dunno why, but The Body has never got me crying.. im mostly just stunned watching it but theres no shiver down my spine tears welling up moments

Angel: Hole In The World/Shells gets me EVERY time.. I love Fred and when she crys, I cry
I Will Remember You... the ending of that episode with buffy crying in angels arms and the clock is very touching!
Angel and Cordy's kiss at the end of You're Welcome, and the hospital calling to say she never woke up and is dead makes me cry every time.. Not because of what's happening on screen but cos I realise that shes actually dead now, not in a coma where she can wake up but cordy is dead! 🙁

anndd Tru Calling: Two Weddings And A Funeral.. When Harisson dies I cry, and when Tru is crying on his body.. And again I cry when Luc dies, and his funeral where they play "In The Air Tonight" by full blown rose.. Veeeerry moving

Oops, thats 8 episodes.. Sorry 😛 I'm a cry baby, lots of things make me cry!

Buffy
The Body
Everything in this episode makes me cry. Presents death in a real, raw way.

Friends
Finale
When Ross tells Rachel at the airport he wants to be with her and she turns him down, I started tearing up. But I really started crying at that famous phone message

Those are the two that really do it for me

Kean

The Plane doesn't have any phalangeses!!!!LOL!!!
1. Roswell, Cry Your Name
2. Charmed, All Hell Breaks Loose, when Prue is crying over Piper's body at the hospital
3. BTVS, Becoming Part 2
4. BTVS, The Body, when Anya insists that Joyce can't be dead
5. Toss up between Roswell, The End of the World during "I Shall Believe" at the end; Doctor Who "The Family of Blood" when the Doctor has to decide to go back to being a Time Lord; and Doctor Who "The Christmas Invasion" when Rose is crying over the Doctor

It's not SciFi BUT the General Hospital ep where Stone dies would be on an all-genre top 5 list...

Karma for Stone's death, man. My eyes get leaky every time I even think of it.
Buffy - the season 5 finale when buffy dies
Charmed - vaya con leos when leo is 'frozen'
tru calling - when harrison dies in the hospital
tru calling - luc's funeral at the end
angel - when angel is turned human gain and buffy cries "there's not enough time"

I know I've already answered, but I just read Buffy Summers' comment about Stone and I've got to say... the Stone story on General Hospital "wins" for saddest piece of TV ever. Those of you who haven't watched it are missing out, but you're lucky in a way, too. That was real grief, not just empathetic TV grief. Every GH fan that I know to have watched that story still talks about it to this day. When Stone died, I and many other GH fans really felt as if a real person -- a real friend -- had died at the age of 19. Wash is saying "I'm a leaf on the wind" on my TV right at this very moment, but even that death or Joyce's in "The Body" or Fred's in "A Hole in the World" can't compare.

Stone's death was just too real. It was a lot like watching my friend's mom die of cancer when I was a kid. You saw Stone cross items off his "bucket list," saw him waste away even though he ate better and worked out more often and took better care of himself than ever before, saw him swallow enormous amounts of pills, saw him lose his eyesight, saw him learn only days before he died that he'd passed the disease on to his girlfriend. You saw a wonderful, loyal, vibrant kid try to fight death and fail. It was only a TV show, but real life people do die like that every day. The reality of it felt like a kick in the gut. The way his illness was drawn out over time and the way the show felt empty without him for so long afterward... well, there's no describing it except to say that it felt "real." It was the most emotionally engaging and exhausting piece of fictional entertainment I've ever seen, read, or heard.

Angel- I will remember you (i actually cried!)
Sleep Tight(connor was lost to Holtz!I felt so terrible for angel!!)

Buffy-The Body(obvious reasons *cry*)
The Prom(angel breaks up with buffy, never fails to make me sob!)
Hells bells(Anya and Xander's breakup!!!)
Seeing Red(tara's death (THAT made me cry!)
Grave(The end with Willow and xander was bittersweet, already said i know)

Doctor Who-Doomsday (The doctor loses rose! *sobs in a corner*

So that pretty much sums it up! I'm a pure romantic!
