Top 5 least favorite ships

I'm not sure if we've done this, but what are your top five least favorite relationships or hookups in the Buffyverse? It's tough for me because there are actually quite a few I dislike but I would say:

5. Spike/Buffy (I enjoy watching this relationship dramatically, but the more I watch it the more it kind of grosses me out. My feelings on Spuffy go back and forth, so prepare for me to change my mind on this!)

4. Riley/Buffy (Boring with no chemistry. Compare this to season 3 Faith/Buffy? No.)

3. Connor/Cordelia (Creepy in every way. Pretty much the worst writing decision ever.)

2. Robin/Faith (Not that I consider this a relationship. It was such an obvious attempt to throw pretty much the only two single people on the show together in the second to last episode so they can have a montage of everyone having sex. Faith made it almost through the whole show without some stupid fake romance. Really, guys?)

1. Willow/Tara (Hard to explain why I dislike them so much. I find them incredibly annoying, lacking in chemistry, boring, unhealthy, and sickening. Not a fan at all.)

I'm not a huge fan of Gunn/Fred (boring), Cordelia/Angel (better as best friends), and sometimes Xander/Anya (not compatible) either.

How about you guys?
 
1. Spike/Buffy: It's just unhealthy for both participants and kind of gross. There were some sweet Spuffy moments in S07, though. I exclude the scene at the end of "Chosen". Too sappy for my tastes with the joined burning hands. *Slightly gagging*

2. Robin/Faith: I second Monkey Pants post in this regard. It was shoehorned in because they needed more participants for the ****fest in "Touched". And it was even a bad and unauthentic sex scene.

3. Riley/Buffy: Look at Monkey Pants post. 😀

4. Connor/Cordelia: @Monkey Pants - We seem to be on a similar wavelength. It was just creepy and gross.

5. Wesley/Fred: More a personal thing. Wesley is kind of creepy to me. Every time he smiled at Fred I felt this shiver going down my spine. And not the good kind of shiver. Like he had set up a very "special place" in his cupboard "just for her". Probably the reason why I thought his performance in "Billy" as one of his best. I hope Alexis Denisof is never reading this. XD
 
Yea there are some ships that I don't like or don't like as much. In no particular order.
Gunn/Fred-I just never got into it, they feel more like brother and sister to me so...creepy.
Willow/Kennedy-I don't like Kennedy, and I don't know why Willow likes her either.
Xander/Anya-Not the worst couple, but I still don't like them as a couple.
Buffy/Spike-I just don't like it.
Connor/Cordy-Nope! So creepy.
 
I can ship anyone, and find something good in most relationships, so this is going to be tough to come up with 5 ships I don't like . . .

Harmony/Spike - love them both as individuals, but not together, Spike has to be with Buffy 🙂 But then again, they were so funny together.

Willow/Xander - you either think this lasted 3 unrequited seasons, or for a couple of requited episodes, but I didn't like it, made them both out to be selfish horrible people. Poor Cordy and Oz! When Anya slept with Spike I couldn't help thinking, see Xan karma is a bitca

Warren/Katrina - for obvious reasons, Warren being a psychopath ... April . ..

Connor/Cordelia - totally agree with @Monkey Pants and eveyone on this one - creepy

Angel/Buffy - this is only on the list because I couldn't think of a 5th ship It's just for me Buffy has to be with Spike, Angel was a teenage romance that inevitably had to end.

Forgot about Harmony/Spike, was not a fan of them at all. I found Harmony pretty annoying and Spike treated her horribly.
I actually like Willow/Xander 🙂
Angel/Buffy could be a little too melodramatic for my tastes, and I'm not convinced they really knew each other well.

I would have shipped Willow/Xander if it had happened when both were single. I just felt so sorry for Cordy and Oz, two of my favourite characters. But then I guess Oz cheated with Veruca, so what goes around comes around

I felt sorry for them too, and didn't want W/X to get together. However I think they were cute and had good chemistry. And with Oz cheating, I think there were some extenuating circumstances, but yeah.

Spike/Buffy - exploitative and abusive

Connor/Cordelia - vom

Xander/Anya - I'm sorry but I am still grieving the loss of Xander and Cordy!

Angel/Nina - just seemed weird and kind of out of character for Angel

Fred and Gunn - terrible
 
For me:

Buffy/Riley - never liked Riley, his attitude to Buffy worsened as the show progressed. It was like they made him annoying in S5...
Spike/Harmony - funny apart, not together
Connor/Cordelia - gross
Groo/Cordelia - no chemistry whatsoever
Willow/Xander - just no
 
Gunn/Fred - Super meh, not fun and interesting at all. He was like her big brother >.<
Willow/Kennedy - Kennedy is annoying, I don't understand why would Willow fall for her.
Connor/Cordy - BIG EWW. I don't even feel the need to justify myself here lol
Cordy/Groo - Soooooo unnecessary!
Angel/Nina - Almost as pointless as Cordy/Groo.

I remember feeling the same way about the Buffy relationships. Way too melodramatic and boring as hell. Always preferred Xander, Willow and Giles' ships. Guess fanfic warmed me up to Buffy/Spike.

For me the worst ones are:

1) Cordelia/Connor
2) Cordelia/Groo
3) Cordelia/Angel (IMO, Cordelia should be with either Xander or Doyle)
4) Robin/Faith (too sudden - perhaps if Faith showed up earlier and their relationship developed throughout the season)
5) Wesley/Fred ( too Ross/Rachel "will they won't they" and I don't care for the drama)
 
No real ranking to these:
Cordelia/Groo (boring)
Faith/Wood (there's a WHY inside me screming to get out about this pairing...)
Gunn/Fred (I think I slept through it)
Wesley/Fred (bleug.)
Willow/Kennedy (boing! boing! boing! the sound of rebound!)

Also, I'm not really a fan of Buffy with anybody really.

I agree with your Wesley/Fred points. Wesley practically stalked Fred for two seasons and it got strange ( it didn't help that he tied a woman up in his closet either). Then when they were together it was beautiful, but they seemed like two completely new characters 🙁
 
1. Cordelia/Connor easily...

2. Cordelia/Xander - but the first two times they kiss (especially in Buffy's basement hiding from the worm man) were hilarious.

3. Riley/Buffy

4. Fred/Gunn

5. Willow/Kennedy - disclaimer, haven't read the comics, it could get really good for all I know
