Top Ten good things from S7

I was able to watch reruns of Season 7for the last two weeks and thought of all the good stuff that came from it. I know people complained aboutseason 7 sucking, but it really wasnt that bad. Here's my top ten good things

10)Willow/Kennedy "love" scene in "Touched"- I'm a guy, nuff said. Can't believe that scene actually made it on TV.

9) Caleb- When he first showed up you could'nt deny how freightening he was. He practically obliterated Buffy and the potentials and Xander.

8) Big BAd appearances- Hey that was cool seeing the First morph back and forth between all the big bads.

7) Fray prequel- Joss did a good job of seeting the stage for his comic (Despite some still unanswered questions) And the Scythe was cool. Good to see that the comics fit into contuity.

6) Principal Wood- He added a different tone to the group and was pretty funny in his last couple of episodes.

5) CWDP- The whole episode was brilliant and the character of Holden Webster was very interesting.

4) Faith returning- I don't really need to say much but it is very cool that Eliza was able to come back for the final episodes.

3) Mythologies of the series coming into play- The slayer line, watchers council, The First Evil, The Primal Slayer all played a role in this season.

2) Andrew- Alright, I'm biased because Andrew has become my favorite character over the last coupole of months. But he added some much needed humor to the season.

1) The Slayer Spell- This gave us the climaz to the whole feminist subplot that has been running throughout the whole series. And it gave a perfect ending to all of Buffy's struggles.

So despite a few hanging threads ("Buffy won't choose you) and a main character being rushed into a relationship right after her girlfriend died, it wasn't so bad.

9)first evil's appearances,all the bad guys!(hey,where was angelus?!!!)
8)caleb was pretty cool,love the guy...bonus:nathan!
7)andrew!!..he was in a lot of eps!
6)LMTP's flashback
5)''i loved him more than what i will ever love anything in this life''
4)anya and andrew's fight(wheelchairs)...so great!
3)faith,she was back...she rocks
2)the final battle
1) ::love:: Buffy ::love:: and ::love:: Angel's ::love:: kiss ::love:: !!!::love::

10) Willow working some mojo again
9) wondering if Wood was evil and if Giles was the First
8) getting to see Anya portrayed so humanly (selfless)
7) fight with the Ubervamp (Showtime... Welcome to Thunderdome)
6) Dawn and Xander's Potential conversation
5) Conversations with Dead People
4) Buffy telling Angel to leave town!
3) Buffy telling Spike that he was her champion
2) Touched (you all know that parts I'm referring to... that wonderful speech and the love)
1) The final battle, Spike saving the world, and the best: Buffy to Spike :I love you! (even though Spike's brain is too peroxide soaked to understand the big dope!) yeah, I know thats three rolled into one... but it's all relevant.
 
OK, I'll freely admit to being one of those evil people that on occasion disses Season 7, but that doesn't mean I don't love it.

In fact I'll say it again, Flawed Masterpiece

My List:
Season 7 Stuff I Loved.

10. The whole first half of the season right up until the end of Showtime (with the exeption of Him).

9. All those infuriating, dangling clues that made the first half so rich; Is it the real Joyce? Beljoxa's eye, Why did Annabelle run? The symbol's carved into Spike's flesh. What does "Back to the beginning" mean? And so on...

8. All those high-powered, emotional scenes; Spike on the cross, Willow channels the first. Buffy tells Willow, "I've got so much strength I'm giving it away. Buffy tells Spike she believes in him. Beaten, bruised Buffy's "it'll choke on me speach". Buffy's "Thunderdome" speach. Buffy rescues Spike, and they look into each others eyes ("She will come for me").

7. All those little pop culture references and homages.

6. Robert Duncan's musical scores. Did you know you can download some of them from his site?:

Angie Hart's "Blue", written for CWDP, was pretty damned fine also.

5. Jane Espenson peaks as a writer; Same Time Same Place, CWDP, Storyteller, End of Days.

4. Andrew; It surprised the Hell out of me that he was such a find. I couldn't believe they'd kill off Jonathan then make Andrew a regular. Looking back though, it was inspired.

3. The production values. Each episode looked like a little movie.

2. The potentials. OK I'm probably the only one that liked them, but I like background stuff. I'm always watching the background, and the Potentials are doing lots of fascinating stuff back there.

1. The discovery of the wonderkid, the next Joss Whedon-- Drew Goddard!!!

She did actually tell him to leave, to keep a second front. I thought it was cool, coz he was all like 'im a champion ggrr grr watch me flex my oh so fine muscles' *cough* sorry, my own bit there. ehehe.

My own list
10.) All the sex scenes. I didn't think that was legal!.
9.) Buffy getting the sack from been the leader for been all high horse like
8.) Andrew's comic relief. Thank god there was some geeky humour left. Damn u willow, you left all your geekiness!
7.) Giles coming back from England
6.) Dawn not been the most annoying character (kennedy wins hands down)
5.) Making Buffy seem more human than any other season, by getting her ass kicked.
4.) Spike and Faith's fight
3.) The fact that everything came back, like the first from amends and the whole xander telling buffy to kick angels ass from becoming
2.) The whole touched scenes with Buffy and Spike. so beautiful!
1.) Buffy saying i love u to Spike. (Shame it been at the last minute. Bugger)
 
Many greats in season 7, but heres my top ten
10.Scene in Lessons with All the "Big Bads'' from all the seasons appearing to Spike<--One of the best scenes in the whole season, maybe whole series

1.Buffy telling Spike she loved him<---so adorable and it was about time
 
Faith returned, Angel returned, Slayer spell, Cookie dough analogy, Spike...just Spike, Selfless, The Killer In Me, Chosen, Buffy/Spike-Willow/Kennedy-Woods/Faith-Xander/Anya bit in Touched (a lot of it was sweet), and Faith (definitely worth repeating...).
