As a person who was born into digital age and never uses analog media to listen to music, I think an album cover is an integral part of the whole identity of an album. Visuals are always important. For example I would never willingly go back to mp3 players since one cannot see any image for relating a song to while using them. This sentiment can be a bias, but I believe (even if "believing" carries "bias" in its meaning) many people are like me. In a nutshell, never lose hope on visuals! 😀@spikenbuffy You could try album covers
That's a good idea although there are so many great ones it would be really difficult. Any ideas? I am guessing you would include Dark Side of the Moon !
It's a pity album covers are losing some of their importance with streaming taking over nowadays
When you say digital do you mean streaming or cd's? When I am streaming on my phone I can see the album cover but a little picture on my phone is just not the same as seeing the artwork on a physical albumAs a person who was born into digital age and never uses analog media to listen to music, I think an album cover is an integral part of the whole identity of an album. Oh sure, CD's are also digital, I wrongly used the word, what I meant was streaming. When an album is in CD form, I don't see the cover art via a screen, but with streaming, it's seen via a screen. Usually I google the cover art that I find interesting and take a look at it more closely. When you say digital do you mean streaming or cd's? When I was younger I loved the whole routine of listening to vinyl and holding the sleeve. But it is just too much easier and cheaper to stream music nowadays
My teenage nephew has started getting into vinyl recently. But when 1 album costs as much as 2 months subscription to Spotify its not a cheap hobby!
