Top Things That Annoy the Mods

That's only because some of us (not me, I like writing BB essays) tend to not ever express more than 1 line, so 3lines is a big deal.

And not everyone (again not me, promise! lol) likes reading a certain BotD's essay posts that occasionally pop up.
I'm a skim reader, yo. lol.

Anyway, something that might annoy the mods is when discussions on a topic turn into personal one-on-one conversations. And I know I'm somewhat guilty of that on occasion!! SORRY!

i sometimes say 'wow! ive written a lot!', and when ive said that in the past, it WAS way more than 50 words, but now im so busy that a thorough paragraph feels like 'whoa. i actually wrote more than a couple lines!' :) anyway, i agree with you :).

Hearing people complain about so-called kool talk or text talk is really old. It's not anymore difficult to understand, it's just something people do. Get over it.

I'll admit it's fun to try and figure out license plates in traffic. I'll also give you that it's not hard for YOU to read Text Talk. And, I will also admit that Text Talk has a place, especially if you don't have a phone with a qwerty keyboard .

HOWEVER, there IS a reason books and internet pages aren't done in "text talk". Those of us who've grown up with actual puncuation, capitalization, and words find it a little hard to suddenly jump to trying to phonetically sound out every letter and number to try and read a word. It's worse for the people just learning English
There was a reason for Morse Code in it's time. And I'm sure lots of people understood it quite well. But, it never replaced English.

Kewl Talk shouldn't be done in a forum where most of the people don't speak english as their primary language. It's not something we have to get over.

I don't much care what else annoys the mods.

I'd much prefer a topic where we got to ask the mods questions, but there's no point me trying to start it, it would get deleted before I'd even pressed submit topic.
 
Having to break up out-of-hand arguments/ "debates" that may/may not be totally off topic! (not that it ever happens here 😉 🙂)

When people start at thread to ask if it's okay to start a thread about ______ (think I may have done this once or twice as a newbie! :silly: )
