Willow Magic

I think that this episode is amazing because this is when i was hooked on Buffy, because of Willow (my favourite character) I feel sorry for Tara as she goes all *dead* like ;( anyway we see Willow using darkest magick !! and i love it when she goes to glory and says;

"I owe you pain" i was on a buzz 😀

does anyone know what she says when she entres the room, whats the words for the spell that she uses, anyone know?

Thanks

This is a truly gut-wrenching episode to watch. I cringe when Glory squeezes Tara's hand and blood starts dripping from it. When Tara refuses to tell Glory who the Key is counts as her greatest moment for me.

As for the other question, this this is from the Buffyverse Dialogue DataBase:

'Kali, Hera, Kronos, Tonic...Air like nectar, thick as onyx...Cassiel by your second star... Hold mine victim as in tar. I ... owe ... you ... pain!'

This episode was a tear jerker. I don't think I cried, but I was ready to, especially when Willow went to seek revenge.

The episode was a catalyst for what was going to happen in season six. We get to see Tara become concerned about Willow's power and over use of magic.

But it was amazing to see how Willow would do anyting (including going against a hell-god) to protect the woman she loves. Such emotion.

I totally agree with you Feigenbaum, this was a hint of things to come. This started my love for 'dark Willow'. Personally I love it when characters have an evil side to them. I liked Giles killing Ben, and Wesley in Angel as well.

Fav line:
Glory:Bag of trick?
(Darkish) Willow: Bag of knives.

Genius!

I love this episode It is so good to watch, I love that this is the first time we get to see 'Wicca Kick ass' Willow!!
On the thing about it being the start of Willow's use of black magick, anyone noticed how willow progresses magickly, She always advances after some major event, I love how we can see her 'push the boat'?

1)In season 2 Willow does the spell to restore Angel's soul, starting her use of Magick,
2)then she progresses slowly through 3, then in Season 4 the enjoining spell, and we see Willow attempting new kinds of Magick in season 5,
3)then In Tough Love She goes all Black Eyed, starting her decent into Black Magick,
1)Then She revives Buffy and She goes Fully into it

I love how Tara comes through when her loyalty is tested, it proves what a great member of the Scoobies she is, and how much of a caring character she is.

Great episode... i like how the start to put tara/willow as a real realationship having that fight.. and come on willow was awesome when she did those spells on glory

kali...hera... kronos.. tonic...air like nectar...thick as onyx...cassiel by your second star... hold mine victim as in tar. I...owe...you...pain!!!! 🙂

I don't normally remember lines that much, but Willow's response to the doctor was a great one...

Doctor (to Willow about Tara) Is she your sister?
Willow: She's my everything

I think 40 year-old truckers would cry at that line.

This episode marked a turning point-Willow refusing to accept Buffy's authority at the hospital when Buffy tried to forbid her from fighting Glory herself-"You wouldn't last five minutes with her", "Even I'm no match for her". And Willow dares to reply "Well maybe I am". Indeed she doesn't last five minutes with her and with Buffy's help barely escapes the encounter, but the episode truly tests her power which she will use to great effect three episodes later. I love the scene where Glory is gloating over her after she's defeated her magic and Willow spits in her face!

In the final analysis Buffy could not have defeated Glory without Willow's help, she is awful powerful by the end of this season. It seems clear that the dark/evil Willow story arc of Season 6 is already in motion at this point. Not that Willow has gone evil already, but the power which will drive her that way is already apparent.

I <3 pissed off Willow. She really gives it to Glory good. I love that ep. I do cringe when Glory squeezes Tara's hand. I cried at that part, because I love Tara. She's so nice & just like with Willow, it's hard to see her getting hurt.

I think this episode was pretty good. I felt bad for Tara and everything but I loved how Willow got all upset and actually tried to give Glory some major pain! It was very amusing and the episode was overall pretty good.
