Trading in Comics for TPB's?

If this belongs in the "Comics" section, just inform me.

So, I'm headed off to college soon and I need a way to keep my stuff compact. These things include my Buffy comics, and they take up a lot of space, and they are easily ripable. My two questions are:
1. Should I give up kickass covers and memorable tiny booklets for more compact, safe TPB's?
2. Is it even worth it? Is this cost-effective?

So my list of comics comes in at:
35 single issues as of now.
3 other single issues due to parent's stupidity, or cool variant covers.
Willow and Tales of the Vampire one-shots (idk if they'll be kept in a TPB eventually)
and Angel: Aftermath Vol. 5 Hardcover (This is only if it actually makes me money. This was entertaining, but it's really not canon, and it just seems kinda pointless to have if it didn't ACTUALLY happen)

Usually the one-shots are packaged in TPB with the arc they follow. Also, the TPBs have all the covers, variant and main, included.

I'm not talking about the one-shots like The Chain and Turbulence, just the extras that didn't really fit into the main S8 series. Ie: Willow, Riley, and Tales of the Vampires. And the TPB's contain 5 in each right? And since there are going to be 40 issues, there'll be 8 TPB's, with these other one-shots being left out. Obviously I could be wrong, and some TPB's might contain Willow, Riley, and Tales of the Vampires.

I think the Willow one shot is one of the TPBs. Check darkhorse.com to be sure.

I checked Wikipedia and none of those one-shots are in any of the collected issues.

I guess you could also wait for the complete Season 8 collection, which we will be getting sometime. It will probably be a while tough, since they'll probably release the last TPB first, and then wait, so people don't think "I'll just skip the last TPB and buy the complete collection".

Usually one shots arent put in TPB since they just worry about getting that specific arc together. Would have to just wait for a S8 omni to come out.
