I never watch this show, but I recorded tonight's eppy just to see the crazy lady.

I gotta tell ya, that is one crazy, messed up gal, and I feel truly sorry for her family...the kids especially. Yikes! That is just frightening to behold. Somebody get the friggin' net!

It has to be something clinically amiss with her, because there's no way that her behaviour can be solely attributable to her religious beliefs. I mean it just goes beyond being fervent and dogmatic. I've known Christian folks in my time, and they do not act the way she does.

If it is i saw an American one here last night....A Christian family swapped with a Gay Family.....it was of the highest hilarity....the Christian husband was telling the gay 'Wife' that his faith wouldnt allow him to let him stay, so he called his pastor, who told him, i shit you not, treat this man like he is a leper, as if he is the devil himself.
Now i am a christian, but i feel im liberal in my beliefs.
I do believe the word of God, BUT i am also aware that HIS word has been handed down to man, who himself has buffed out some of the beliefs.
I do believe that God has made us in his image, and i do believe he bestowed upon us free will, but i also believe he would not condemn a man for the way he chooses to rule his life.
I also do not believe our Lord would allow homosexuality IF it was a mistake. If the king of heaven and creator of all, didnt want 'man to lie with man, and woman to lie with women', then i am sure he would have put a stop to it.
Instead what i do believe is that God in his Divine wisdom bestowed upon us all the chance to run our lives justly, fairly and if you wish in his name, but would not punish us if we made a life choice like that.
Granted i am not a homosexual, but i do not see it as a perversion, i see it as a life choice......

Hahaha, I agree with Joamna. This lady is pretty scary. I thought I had crazy christian relatives but now I am no longer afraid of them. For I have seen the source of all crazed christianity... incarnated in a crazy lady!

That show has the Jerry Springer effect. It feels like a total BS setup at this point. These people have to know by now that FOX is just going for the most "outrageous", potentially embarrassing cultural/value contrasts it can find. It's approaching freakshow territory.

But, sometimes it's actually been sort of poignant, moving...

I did kind of enjoy the first couple eps of that Amish reality show...watching the "normal" kids act like such idiotic a-holes. You just feel kind of dirty watching these shows...

OMG I watched the first episode and I kept staring at the screen thinking "is this real?", I respect people and their religion but that women and her blonde friend just take things over the edge with theirs. Next episode looks intresting espically when she starts to go physco since the other mother isnt a christian so her money must be tainted.

Ok, so I watched this episode the day after I saw Saw II and let me tell you, on the Scare-o-meter, that lady beat Jigsaw hands down. She made my skin crawl. I think she would probably have scared Freddie Kreuger too...

Gotta agree with OM. I wouldn't call her a crazy Christian. Methinks she's crazy first and religious second; her unstable mental state informs her beliefs, not the other way around. I'd just call her crazy. We're talking uber-crazy.

On a scale of one to Completely Batsh*t Insane, she's definitely an eleven.
