To let everyone know again, this thread will contain spoilers, unmarked.

I've seen it twice already.

I was disappointed with the lack of robot conversations. They basically turned into the muscle of the movie and had no other legitimate rolls. The twins were mildly funny. The "mean robots suck" line was cute though.

I was suprised at the excessive language, compared to the first one.

John Turturro (Sector 7) was really the shiner in this movie. As always, his humor is perfectly delivered. I wish he would have been in the movie through the entire thing, not just half way.

Which reminds me, was it desperately long to anyone else? I found my mind wandering at times...

Shia was adorable but I wasn't impressed by the new portrayal of his relationship with Megan Fox's character. At times it was cheesy beyond belief. When that other hott chic...whatever her name is...was all "ooh I love camaros" I was like...yeah right.

Was the boy at the party with the tight shirt the same boy in the first on that Michaela dated?
 
John Turturro is always great. He is so underrated.

I havn't seen the new movie yet, even though I was a fan of the first one. I'm visiting my parents, and the theatre here really really lacks, so Im going to wait until I get back to the city.

What wold you rate it? Out of 10?
Also what would you rate the first one, so I can make a comparision 🙂
 
I was enjoying the movie until the final fight scene, I won't spoil what DOESN'T happen but 'He' had the perfect chance and would have taken it if he were anything like the transformer that has been my fav since childhood. His character has been butchered imo.

After reading some reviews, I didn't come into theatre with very highe expectations, albeit it was packed and all my friends did seem to like it. The special effects were good, but the plot just seemed to fit in too well.
1. A Decepticon turned Ally? name = Jaffar?
2. Jaffar gives Optimus his parts before he dies.
3. The primes somehow contact Sam?
just to list a few

Good time with friends, movie was okay. It tried too hard to be funny imo, and it didn't help that I was taking a drink when the guy ripped off his pants. I just stopped myself from spitting it out, and instead it comes out of my nose...
 
The decepticon turned good was called Jetfire 😉

I watched this a little while ago at the IMAX theatre which was great for the action sequences. I went to be entertained by fighting robots, and I was. A movie like this though, I expected the cheese and the lame storyline...so none of that really disappointed me.

I still say my favourite autobot is Bumblebee by far.

I AM IN LOVE WITH BUMBLEBEE!!! He's just soooooooooo cute!! 😀

Granted, the plot was rather thin, but i didn't really mind, i really enjoyed it!!
Still think i prefered the first one, although there's not really much in it for me to be honest!
 
Man, I LOVED this movie. I've seen it twice already, and trust I was never a fan of the first film. I mean, the movie had awesome visual effects mixed with non-stop action (literally), and I actually had some REAL laughs from my type of a comedy. To which I honestly wasn't expecting when I first walked in, come on the mom was hilarious. But yeah, the movie I see has been taking mainly negative reviews from critics.. how could I have not seen that coming? I just think expectations were set way to high. Both audiences I attended didn't seem to be dissuaded though, and I think Bay did an excellent job. Megatron rocks my socks (so can Megan)!

Bad Robots > Good Robots.
 
Damn. I didn't like this and I really wanted to. The new robots irritated me, Sam's roommate is instantly annoying, and bloody hangs around for the entire film. Christ, I wanted a robot to stand on him. The parents who were great in the first film, are in this one far to much, and again get annoying.
The fallen is a dull villain, and doesn't do much. And then there's the utterly odd moments. A decepticon humping Megan Fox's leg, and decepticon testicles - yeah you read that right. Transformers have balls now. 😀
Good things. Megan and Shia are pretty good. And bumblebee is just non-stop nifty. Love that bot.
