Transforming into a Vamp

Hey Guys,

Not to knock the effects in BTVS or Angel but was there every a time where you didn't see the vamp transformation coming?

Were you ever surprised to see someone turn into a Vampire - or did it always make you go that looked like it was going to happen 🙂

i remember being pretty surprised that Angel turned into a vampire after he kissed Buffy for the first time.

Nice call Tranquility - totally agree with you there! But I figured he was a vamp before they kissed for sure...even when watching it on TV 10 years ago ya know?

But then again that wasn't a normal transformation - he had his back turned, you didn't see his face...what's the word...meld into the Vampire

I know exactly what you're saying. It's like the background gets really simple, like a plain color, and kinda blurry, and the BAM! Vampiness.

Darla in Welcome to the Hellmouth was quite a surprise to me, and I liked how it wasn't a proper morph, more like a cheap camera trick.

when ever theres a face shot of a vamp you can totaly tell there gonna change. But sometimes it takes you by surprise, like when we found out angel was a vampire.

but that's different - his face was turned away from the camera, same as Darla
