from what i've heard...it'll be episodes that will actually try to be entertaining...


ds9 and voyager showed that captains weren't always white and male...you know what the show could've been also...

A homosexual captain...preferably a woman...talk about ratings...it would be #1 every week...

that would truly be controversial...it wouldn't be that far from a stretch cause no straight guy would wait 2 years to hit on t'pol...

in regard to the whole relationship thread...ds9 had some passion...like worf and Jadxia...broken ribs and all!!...there's some passion yo!!
 
Soulgasm you should be the creator of the next Trek series, a lesbian captian would be great indeed.

Avery Brooks was awesome, I was glad that he went back to being bald, it reminded more of his days as Hawk from the old Spenser for Hire show.

i would like paramount to get an infusion of new writers...writers that aren't nerds who only portray the characters as rightgeous...star fleet is human too..they make mistakes...

i like the section 32 dudes ds9...they finally showed the cool side of the federation...showed that the obsidian order and the talshiar weren't the only ones in the quadrant that were bad ass in the intelligence field...

holy shit...i just remembered that lebian scene in ds9...can you imagine that in every ep!!

I am a Scott Bacula fan from way back( Quantum Leap) and I have been a Trek fan since the first episode of Next Gen. There is a lot about the show to make me watch it every week.

Good point. I never put my finger on it, but that's what's missing. They spend so much time showing the positive aspects of the human condition in true startrek style, that they never show the negative.

I'd like to see them display maybe a little xenophobia, considering alien races are so new to them. Even Captain Kirk was a racist - hating Klingons like he did.
 
Kirk isnt a racist per say, his hatred af Klingons is a combination of them killing his son and before that on TOS they were the bad guys.

I agree totally, the whole point of Enterprise is that they do not as of yet have a prime directive. So showing more humanity would be rightfully placed.

did anyone see this past enterprise?

while back on the ship...phlox a d'nobulin has to face this alien that is racist towards d'nobulins...stupid...

good point doc bout the prime directive...shit...that thing was always getting in the way...they should be getting into wars man....

Soulgasm you should write up a pilot script of a Klingon crew with a Lesbian captain! That would jack up the ratings! LOL
 
there was another lesbian episode....i was thinking bout the one when Dax kisses like her old wife or something...hahah...there's more than one...those writers for ds9 were ill...
 
On TNG, Dr. Crusher falls in love with a trill who gets critically injured and the new host is a female. She tries to continue her relationship with Crusher but the doc gets too weirded out after a kiss. So DS9 was not the only one. Also... didn't Ryker fall in love with an asexual being? That is in a class by itself.
I was disappointed in the previews for next week. The Borg? They are unknown until TNG! They aren't supposed to even be in the Alpha Quadrant yet. (I am revealing how much of a Trekker I am, aren't I?)
 
I know! The Enterprise NC-1701 D were the first ones who "engaged" the borg! This whole rewritting the ST universe p*sses me off!

I remember that episode when Riker falls in love with that asexual, Riker was the only one on that series that could be classified as sexually experimental. He was the modern day Kirk with a beard!

I had read someting earlier this year about how the writers of Ent were going to incorporate the Borg. Now maybe I have a bad memory but the Borg were introduced to the crew of TNG when Q decided to kick that ship clear cross the galaxy. Not to mention that in that series the Borg were something to fear, by the time Voyager got done with them however they were nothing at all to fear! Sounds to me like Ent is wel on its way to brining Q back to Trek.

In First Contact they persuaded The Borg back into time when The Borg tried to disrupt the first contact from ever takin place between Humans and Vulcans. They were shot down in the arctics and that potentially created a time paradox forcing the universe to adapt to the changes and divide into parallel dimensions. So in fact they did not rewrite it, they simply follow the story of the paradox.
 
I still don't like it... It is a ratings ploy. The episodes with the borg on all the other series were great for ratings
