You have got to be KIDDING ME! Thats the last episode and they're not gonna air it? I give up! I am so sick of these reality shows.

lol that is so FFFFFFd up, and to cancel a show twice..ouch that has to hurt and what Fox couldnt air 2 more episodes! but im not surprised since they tend to like to not show the finale episodes on new shows coming/returning.

Omg, that's so messed up! We've waited so long just to see these episodes and now they won't finish airing them? They're just gonna leave out the last episode? Why not air that one and then bring back Paris the Slut and her sidekick? I'm so angry now!

I should clarify this. Apparently it's on tomorrow, but it's the final episode that isn't on next week.

TV Guide explains it -

TRU BLUE: As if those crazy Tru Calling fans haven't suffered enough at the hands of Fox, the network has decided to pull the serial thriller off the air after this Thursday's episode "” effectively cheating them out of seeing the show's sixth and final original installment. Adding insult to injury, Fox is replacing next week's Tru finale with The Simple Life: Interns! I'm beginning to think someone at Fox really hates Eliza Dushku.

I noticed that when I looked at tv listings for next week. It's such a bummer. I'm really starting to not doubt that last part about Eliza.

Pure Evil Is What They Are, Even Though I Couldnt Watch It In The Uk Im Still Ped Of For You Guys!!!

I'm beginning to think that FOX is run by monkeys. No wait, monkeys are more intelligent than the employees at FOX! The network must be run by pond scum. Yeah, that's more like it.

This is so rediculous!

It's a business .

I was thinking about that too, like how does this make sense from a business standpoint.

May sweeps is coming up, so possibly the idea is too, replace Tru with a proven ratings winner going into that period.

Who knows perhaps we'll get to see the final Tru after that.

On the other hand, maybe it's what TV guide suggested. Maybe Fox just hates Eliza 😉

Well, we're not looking at Tru like it's going to be renewed. So they most likely are not expected to pick up ratings points with it, as since everyone knows it's cancelled most people aren't going to start watching now.

My guess on the whole Tru thing (which is only my guess and not backed up by anything said by FOX or anything) is that they are airing these episodes to take a loss on them and get a tax write off.

I'm sure it's been figured out the best way to maximize revenue - if by showing whatever they're going to be showing in it's place they can get more advertising revenue than they can get taking the loss for tax purposes, that's what they're going to do.

I would say it's clear though that in any case they can get better advertising rates with the other show than with Tru (or they would be showing Tru instead) 🙂

Yeah, I get that, because isn't there some kind of new law where they can merge the production end with the network side? Didn't they used to have to keep those 2 separate by law? Tru is Fox produced, right?

The only question would be why cut it off just before the final episode.

That would make sense though, if you factored in the May sweeps thing. Advertising revenue is set as a result of what happens during sweeps, isn't it? I'm going to assume May sweeps doesn't start until May, but starting Simple Life one week early attracts a Simple Life audience to that time slot for sweeps.

Also isn't the final Tru episode a Christmas oriented episode? That might have something to do with the decision also.

You're right, that might be one of the reasons. I still think they should air the final episode. Last night's left too much up in the air, IMO.

Oh. That's what happened. I was wondering why my tv tried to record The Simple Life.

Oh geez for the past two weeks I've been looking ahead for Thursday night and no Tru. Last week it was Simple Life. This week it's two back to back eppys of The OC. So we have to wait until it's released on DVD then?

On a sidenote..did anyone catch the first 5 minutes of the Family Guy premiere last Sunday? Peter spent about 4 of the 5 minutes listing off all of the Fox shows that have been cancelled....freaking HILARIOUS.

What Happened To This Show?

I remember around last year, I used to watch it, then it just stopped coming on

Was it cancelled?
