Tru Calling Picked Up For Second Season

The struggling series starring Eliza Dushku has been picked up for another season, as confirmed by an unofficial FOX source.

Yesterday, Budweiser.com announced that Tru was picked for another season. We did not trust the source due to the fact that Budweiser is not known as a reliable source concerning Tru, but now an unofficial Fox source has confirmed the information so we can take it more or less as granted that Tru Calling will go on season 2.

Eliza can be glad that Fox seems to be more generate to its shows than WB🙂:evil:: ). Angel has had better ratings than Tru although it aired on the small WB🙂:evil2:: ) and not on Fox.

I'm happy for Eliza,but why Angel was cancelled??It had better ratings than Tru Calling..Still don't get it...
 
I am very suprised by this announcement, I mean they are taking the show off for about 2 or 3 weeks and they are going to revamp it and add Jason Priestly (ugh!). Usually when a shw is taken off and revamped it isnt a good sign of the future of the show.
 
Yay! I love Tru Calling. I thought it was going to get canceled mid season or it would only be a one season thing. I'm very glad it'll be on for another year 🙂
 
I guess so, but she could also get prosperity doin' a Faith spin-off, which I'd rather have.

True, true. I'd much rather have a Faith spin-off, but I'll settle for Tru.
 
if this is true i am happy for eliza, i would prefer a faith spinoff as well, but i like tru calling so if it's on i will watch 🙂

That's utter nonsense. Tru Calling has not been picked up. The Budweiser page is incorrect. It claims this was announced at the same time Priestley joining the show was and we all know that's false. The only thing that was announced was that Fox ordered 20 eps.
The decision to pick the show up for a second season will not be made until after several episodes with Jason Priestley have run.
I wish people would stop posting a bunch of crap and lies to the board. Making up rumors that it's been picked up for another season won't make it happen so you're wasting your time if that's your intent either that or you want to be the creep that disappointed everyone with a lie.

Wow, thank god that seems to only be a rumor. Otherwise it would've been the worst news I've heard since Angel's cancellation. I love Eliza and try to support her whenever I can, but frankly, I think Tru Calling is crap. I've been hoping it wouldn't get picked up for another season, mostly so she would be free to do a spin-off (especially now with Angel gone). I feel her talents are being wasted on that show, not to mention how badly my Joss addiction needs another Whedon shown on-air!
 
I do like Tru Calling, but I also would rather see a Faith spinoff. I hope that Tru Calling gets better though. I can't see it getting picked up for another season unless the ratings improve.
