Okay I just bought Season 1 of the show on DVD. I'm wondering, why should I bother with season 2 (if I can find it in town)? It only has 6 episodes, correct?

What else is on this set that will make it worth my money? They must've packed a lot of special features on season 2.

What are they?
 
Hmm wasnt there a combinded season 1 and 2 box set? Coz thats what they sell where i live...Personally, for the season 2 boxset, in regards to special features, It's not worth it. This is what's on the Australian version.

Yes, there is a combined box set, but it's kinda confusing because it has the same cover art as season one. My mom ended up buying me JUST season one and insisted it was the complete series. I finally had to buy season two online and have it shipped to my house without her knowing. 😉

Anyway, the same content mogwaid listed above is featured on the American DVD. In my opinion, season 2 is great for how short it was. It delves into the main characters' vunerablities, especially Jack's. The story around Tru's mother's death starts to unravel as well. Don't wanna give too much away, but those are some of the main issues.

Also, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas... Again was never aired on network TV and the ending is very surprising, heartwarming and Christmas-y.
 
That's it??? What a rip off. One featurette? Not even any commentaries or anything?

Well, I'll see how much I like season 1 before I make any decisions on getting season 2.
 
i think they should have finished season 2 or just left season 1 as is because if you have seen the eps from season 2 it annoys the crap out of me how they have left it. i bought season 1 and 2 seperate and it was so expensive, but i really liked the show and it was getting really good and then it just stops.. grr LOL. so no comment on your question except what i just ranted about lmao. 🙂

I agree! Season 2 was getting SOOOO good, and then it just stops :(
My version has both, as there are only six episodes of season two, and if you have a multi-regional dvd player i'd get the combined version, selling just six episodes, is a ripoff!
 
I have a multi region DVD player (actually two of them, plus a program on my computer that let's me watch any region on it as well). The only problem is, I already bought Season 1, so getting the combined set would be an even bigger waste of money. (I got season one with Alien Nation:The Complete series in a 2 for 35 bucks bin at Wal-Mart).

These are my exact reasons as well for recommending you get Season 2. Also..I dare you not to get Season 2 after Season 1's cliffhanger 😉

I've posted in Tru threads a few times this link to a blog by one of the writers on the show as to story arcs they had planned for Season 2, REALLY interesting read (try googling for it). This show soo should have stayed at least to the end of Season 2 if not longer.
 
If you're a 'true' fan (pun intended), then you would be buying season two now. Whether or not is has extras or anything shouldn't be your deciding factor!

Now, I know that it is always an issue with people, so I will give you a reason to buy it. Even though there are only six episodes, there is one that was never aired on tv. "Twas the Night Before Christmas...Again". Even though this was not intended to be the finale episode, it does bring the series as we know it to a close rather nicely. Sure, we didn't get all the answers, but it is tied up.

I'm just thankful that we can even see that episode, considering it was never aired.
 
Originally Tru calling was shown on fox but It doesn't seem to run on any network in america though. Anyways, I was at a flea market the other day and picked up the second season for about $15. 🙂 Pretty sweat deal
 
When a DVD set is 40 dollars, having no extras for a 6 episode DVD set is a deciding factor, no matter how much I like a show.

Finished Season 1, it WAS GREAT, btw.
 
$15, that is a sweet deal! I just wish it existed in a store near me.

I just finished Season 2 recently, I really hate that they axed the show. 🙁
