On the 27th of June the Complete Tru Calling series will be released in a neat little box (region 2), like most tv series today. With some featurettes and some audio commentaries from actors, directors and writers.

Now I'm just wondering what people think about that. Is it worth spending £33 on a thing like that or not? Are you gonna spend £33 on a thing like that?

Yay! Thats about the same time the L word is released over here. Double the pleasure! :evillol:

To be honest i wouldn't spend £3.30p on Tru Calling, really didn't enjoy that show the first time i watched it so i'm not going to be buying the DVD's anytime this side of never.

However, for a series i had actually enjoyed that got cancelled way too soon ... say American Gothic or Space: Above and Beyond for example, then yeah, i'd be more than happy to pay for them.

Bit late but I was a big fan of American Gothic too
I won't be able to buy it in a long long time but when I start making some money again (um, well, student loans but still) I'll probably buy it. (Gah, me and my TV shows.. this is no good for me.)

I don't think I'm going to buy it, well right now I can't buy it 'cause I have so little money. But even if I had more money Tru Calling wouldn't be very high up in the list of things to buy.. on the other hand I'm always so curious on featurettes and commentaries and things like that, but I can always convince some friend to buy it and then I can borrow it 😀

Definitely agree with your choices, I'm surprised that Space isn't out on DVD yet. 🙁

Not that I live in the UK, but we do have it in the US, and I have not bought it yet. I agree with most people that it is something that I will probably buy sometime, but I'm not rushing out to get it right now. I have other things I must purchase first.

Went into work today and noticed it on the side (hadn't seen this thread) and was quite surprised. Had a quick mook through. For some reason its huge, they're done it so each disc (8 in total) has its own plastic holder thats quite big, hard to explain. Its easily twice the size of UK Buffy/Angel DVD sets.

The box and all that was alright, few featurettes etc but they seem to focus on S1, cause obviously they were made for the American S1 DVD release. £30 at Woolworths if anyone is interested.

Well i bought it on Sunday. I've watched it all already and i really enjoyed it. I didn't see it first time round on Sky Television and i love Eliza Dushku so it was something i really wanted also it was only £27 so i thought that was a bargain. Only problem with it is that it shows the 6 episodes that they did for Season 2 and i really wished they would re air it and show me more cos i think it is quite good. Gutted that it is over. I found this link to one of the writers LJ and it gives more info on what the story would pan out to be so i thought it would be an interesting read for others. You can find it here

I bought it the other day and i love it, i've already seen all the episodes before anyway but its great to watch them all again, it was an amazing program, can't believe they cancelled it

I bought it - I thought it was pretty good although I think it had too many twists.

I wouldn't have purchased it if Eliza Dushku didn't star...
