It's such a strange feeling when you watch the series finale of a show you used to watch some time previously, and you realize there was so much more story to tell. It's like, what if you rewatch the Veronica Mars finale in a couple of years.

The last episode of Tru Calling was an interesting one, because they never actually aired it. It was ep 6 of season 2. They aired up until ep 5, but never showed the 6th. I never saw it. Apparently it was on the DVD though, but I wasn't going to buy the DVD for one episode.

Until today that is. I just watched it online HERE. That show had potential. It will never be realized. And all those story threads were left dangling. I want to see what would have happened now, but of course that's not to be.

Ah, the last episode. You know, in my opinion, that was the best one. I can't believe they never aired it. Even if it was May.

I know that the show had a lot of criticism for the start, people hated it formulaic premise. But come on, the writers knew it was on FOX, by doing the way they did it I think they were protecting themselves and viewers, by not introducing the big threads within the first thirteen episodes. The show was pretty good, but then with episode 14, everything immediately changed and suddenly we got these cool arcs and all this mythology that could drive the show, yet still manage to have a victim-of-the-week type thing.

The finale was truly awesome. I literally fell of my couch. I was pretty upset when it got canceled, but to be honest I didn't dislike its replacement at all. I wish that TC and PP had been able to co-exist on FOX but I guess the network wasn't interested in trying.

But the show did have enormous potential. I thought every episode of season two that was produced managed to exceed expectations, it was just getting started when it was pulled, it's a real shame.

And it gave Eliza Dushku a reason to run a lot. And look sexy. 🙁

*sigh*

running sexy eliza dushku...:( NOW I WANT THE SHOW BACK!! lol!
Yep. And Doris Egan came aboard during the second half of season one, I believe she helped map out the mythology stuff.

Even though there is so much more story to tell that we didn't get to see, I did feel that the finale episode (I do own the second season and got to watch it) did prove as a sort of okay ending to the series. Sure we didn't get any answers or get to see what was going on with Tru's dad, but at least that episode didn't end with a major cliffhanger and us totally upset.

Whah. I miss Tru!

I was dying to know what the whole myhology of tru calling was all about and i was absolutely devastated when it finished. Life can be so cruel.

Sucks that it ended but it ended on a great episode. I just saw it, I think for the first time ^_^ I loved it. There were parts that I was upset about, like knowing everything the day before and yet her not knowing that her dad tried to kill his own son I was like noooooooooo DON'T ask for help. lol Of course she did. Everyone being in one place at the end was great too, I hate when someone dies in the final episode just because the writers can and want to lol good thing they didn't have time to do that.
