Tru Gets Pickup

Fox renewed Tru Calling, the supernatural series starring Eliza Dushku, for a second season, Variety reported. The series has struggled in the ratings and was considered "on the bubble," meaning its fate was in doubt.

Tru Calling centers on a woman (Dushku) who relives days at the request of dead people who seek her help. Fox will make its full schedule presentation to advertisers on May 20.

Damn, Eliza do Faith spinoff!

I was watching it today and thinking that (^). I mean its an okay show but its so formulaic (sp?)

I'd love a Faith Spinoff too...but I like TC,so I'm happy😛
 
nice to know that it got picked up, but if they keep it on Thursday(same time Joey and Will and Grace will air) I think it wont do so well in ratings agian, and if the ratings dont improve next season Tru Calling will probably be dropped dead with no coming back...atleast from Fox.
 
2nd season, WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO. I am rather happy, I do love Tru Calling.
 
I have to admit that I am rather suprised that FOX decided to pick it up for another season. This series is starting to mirror Dark Angel, hopefully for the fans of the show ir lasts longer

Well personally Im upset, I didn't think the show was all that good, I was looking foward to the possibility of a Faith spin off now.. I tried watch TC just cause of Eliza, but I couldn't do it.. The plot is too much like a plot of a show that fox placed on the air a few years back, the only difference was the lead character was a male instead of a female.. All Fox did was prolong what will eventually happen..
 
I'm bewildered. The show isn't that great. The episodes rehash each other.
The same story over and over. It's bound to get old sooner or later.
 
Oh YAY!!! So glad!

And it's not really the same anymore now that they've introduced the whole Jack/her father storyline. Could get very, very interesting!
 
I just read this over at the Full Blown Rose message board. Wee I'm happy it got picked up for a second season.

Me, too. As much as I'd love having a Faith spinoff, I really like Tru Calling. I've gotten into it for Eliza and it's cool. But, still, not against a Faith spinoff!

Tru Calling is great. The story is that she re-lives the day to save a persons life. I cannot aggree with you when you say that it is always the same story, expecially with the introduction of a nemesis (in the form of Jason Priestley, Ex-Brandon Walsh, BH90210). I have a feeling that next season will be pretty damn good.
 
haven't seen TC, but good for ED! hopefully, it'll air in Australia so I can see what all the fuss is about 🙂
 
I think Tru Calling is great and I love eliza, so I think it would of been a disaster if they were not going to do another series I also like the twists in each episode and since Angel has been cancelled Tru Calling is the only thing I will look forward too on a Tuesday night.
