Typical, I start to get into a show again and they cancel it. Also no fair that Shawn was in London while i'm over in NYC.

From kraymond: Has Tru finally bitten the dust?
Fox studios wants to pitch it to another network--specifically the WB--but the Fox network has not yet released the show from its contract, so, frankly, it's just a really sad situation. Gail Berman needs to let it go, or Tru won't wind up anywhere. And I hear with the upcoming episodes this new season, it's far better than it was before, now that Jane Espenson from Buffy is on board, not to mention Jason Priestly.

This is so frustrating!!! The WB needs programming desperately. The Mountain is the lowest rated show on network tv and is even getting beat by a lot of cable networks and PAX. Jack & Bobby is doing horrible. They've canceled several midseason shows before they even started production. They're pulling One Tree Hill and replacing it with reality show for December, so they barely have any midseason programming.

The WB would grab up Tru in a heart beat if Fox would release it. But they won't since they don't want to look bad if it does well and they're desperate to hold on to Eliza and Shawn.

And now all of the TC writers/producers have moved on to other shows so there is no chance of reviving the show.

Fox has tied up the TC cast with contracts they can't get out of and are trying to get the cast of TC to join Fox pilots and do guest appearances in Fox show.

Fox greenlit the new drama, The Inside, only because they liked the two lead actors in the pilot. They hated the pilot's premise and the show runners, so they fired them and brought in Tim Minear and Jane Espenson to re-do the Inside, since they could only keep those actors in their contracts if they did a show by the same name. Fox execs knew they'd loose those actors to other networks if they didn't greenlight the show and lock them into long term contracts.

This is the type of crap Fox is pulling to keep actors in their contracts. I wonder if Fox even ever had any intention of airing TC Season 2. After what they did with the Inside, I'd believe they'd do anything to keep Eliza under contract.
