Well, since the other True Blood thread went to the graveyard, I decided to start up a new one.

Will anyone else be watching the season 2 premiere? I may not be able to watch it until tomorrow, but regardless, I can't wait! I'm pretty much expecting it to be great, since Eric is now a series regular (yum!) and Alan Ball said it would be more drama and horror-oriented, kind of like the latter half of season 1 was. I am a bit worried about Lafayette, though...he was always one of my favorites.
Unfortunately, from what I've heard, his fate sounds pretty bleak. 🙁

I haven't watched all of season 1 yet, so I won't be watching the premiere, but I'm definitely excited for it! I love Eric! <3

I can't wait! I think I'm going to get as much of S1 rewatched tonight as possible, then watch the episode tomorrow. My writing schedule will be shot, but I've been pretty diligent the last few days; I think I can take a break!

I'm on episode 8 of the first season and i'm having major difficulty "acquiring" the next episodes. The DVD doesn't come out here until October so i'm a bit pissed off. But yeah, i've taken to this series straight away, i really like it. Damn you Americans getting the good shows first. And damn, damn, damn me for looking at CF's spoiler. I told myself not to, but i did, and damn it 🙁 .

Tee-hee!
I'm trying to talk the hubby into paying for HBO so I can see the second season without having to search for a working link online. Since we moved we can't afford the movie channels and I had to give up some good shows. I love the story lines and characters. It's refreshing to see a vampire series told without such censorship. And hey...Bill is yummy! Can't wait to see where they take it this season!

Ohh I cant wait! I duno when I will get to see it but I will eventually. Im on a season 1 rewatch aswell 😀
My friend has got the books and she is going to lend them to me, so if I can keep my concentration I cant wait to read them too 🙂

What a great show! But the books are so better! Too bad they don't follow the books' storyline sometimes. I'm reading the second book and that's very good. And today I watched the Season 2 premiere and it's difficult to find a link between "Living dead in Dallas" and the show for now.

Re:

I watched the season premiere last night. I'm also excited about Eric getting more screen time this season. The storylines seem to be a bit different from the books, but I'm enjoying it anyways. I was hoping that they found a way to keep Lafayette on for Season 2 because even though he didn't play a huge part in the books, he was one of my favorite characters in the show.

I just watched the season premiere and I only have one thing to say.

I'd love to be that green cape. The man could wear a gunny sack and be hot. Yum.

I am STILL cracking up over the tin foil hair! How he can manage to still be hot, I don't know!

Oh Eric. Love him so much. I can imagine Pam doing his hair before he came down.
Im glad i can get my TV fix with these shows now (Weeds, True Blood, and Dexter.... all awesome, all starting up now). True Blood, eh, it was on ok premiere. It didn't seem to have much of a storyline and just a bit more character progression... not sure I dig the Jason becoming a religious vamp hater but we'll see.

Yeah I'm with ya on the iffyness of Jason.
I saw a little over half online and Safari quit on me. Have to try again later. But yeah, I missed Dexter this last season as well because of the move. I need my HBO and SHOWTIME!!! Jason wasn't half bad but they're making him out to be the worlds biggest douche bag. Can that boy EVER think for himself? It's sad really...

I'm wondering how they're going to deal with Jason...
I mean if he gets turned in to a were, there will be major conflict with his FOTS membership.
Of course, like Rayne said, I'm afraid Jason can't think for himself...so maybe he'll just do a 180 degree turnaround, especially if he hooks up with Crystal.

I'm just excited there's a DECENT and GOOD vampire show to watch that ADULTS like. I can fangirl over this without feeling embarrassed. Anyway, the premiere was excellent. I'm SO looking forward to this season.

Also, I don't know how many people have read the books, but in the 4th one, Eric watches a lot of Buffy and gets a lot of lolz out of season 1. I thought it was cute and a nice homage. 😉 Just like in Episode 3 of Season 1 where Sam Merlotte wishes Buffy would come to Bon Temps. Hehehe.

I enjoyed those parts as well. I've read the entire series and love every last one. I have to be careful that I don't say too much in these threads as I do not want to spoil anything. But I look forward to seeing who they are going to cast for different characters. But judging from what I've seen so far on the TV series, I don't see Alan Ball following the books too closely. Still, I enjoy the series and look forward to seeing the development of Season 2. The books are well worth reading for anyone who has not.
