How does everyone feel about TruBlood?? I personally love it and i think the characters are all really good and interesting. How do you feel about it?

And about season three do you like the new Sookie? What's going to happen to her?

I absolutely love TruBlood! Season 2 has been my favorite so far, but season 3 was pretty good. Mostly because there was Alcide, lol! 😀 Eric is my favorite character, but Sookie is great too. I want my two blondies together, lol! 😉

I'm not entirely sure what will happen with Sookie in season 4, except I think she's going to learn a lot more about who she is and where she comes from. I also think she'll learn and use more of her powers.

I love the books, but I'm not that keen on the TV Show. I've watched the first season and a bit of the second and I'll watch the rest eventually, but they're not one of my most favourite shows. Call me a prude if you want, but it seems to me that the show goes OTT with the sex and gore. I can handle a little of that, but when it's all the time it just puts me off.

I like the REST of it though. I really think it'd be the kind of show I'd love if it wasn't for that! I need to watch the rest sometime. I might watch some more now actually. As squeamish as I may be about it, I can't deny theres some good storylines aaaannddd it's nice to look at too. *cough* Eric *cough*

Yes, Alcide has saved the show. I feel that True Blood like most of the HBO shows have put too much emphasis on being "shocking" rather than just telling a good story. And they massacred the Sophie-Anne character.

I definitely feel that season 3 went with the "shocking" concept more so than other seasons, rather than stick with the storyline and provide good character development.

Lol, I guess I felt season 3 fell flat by the end, although the Bill/Sookie/Eric scenes in the last episode were great. I wasn't a fan of Sam's storyline, the Tara/Franklin storyline started off great, but I think wrapped up too quickly, and I'm not feeling the Jason/Crystal love. I liked Eric's revenge storyline, the Bill/Lorena storyline (yet, there was a lot of shock value there), and Sookie/Alcide interactions.

Yeah I agree I love Alcied he really saved the show he is adorable and we know for sure he is coming back for season four. The Jason crystal storyline creeps me out lol I don't like crystal at all. I love Jason but I feel like they are having a hard time finding a love interest that really works for him. Eric is probably my fav character and I can't wait for him and Sookie to get together already!!

Ugh and Bill, I'm so glad they finally broke up he was starting to get on my nerves. I'm sure I'll be happy to have him back but he and sook need a break they were turning into an old boring couple

I love the books. Initially, I was okay with the secondary storylines because the books are told in first person, but you have to have something for the other characters to do in the series (first person works for Dexter, but I don't think it would work for True Blood). But I think they've just gone insane with the secondary plots and secondary characters and lost sight of the fact that this is technically Sookie's story. She's practically a secondary character herself in the show.

Also, I violently despise Tara.

Typically I've no problem with any book (yes, also suffered through erm twilight -which was much better than the movies) but for some reason I could not get these books at all. It was very difficult for me to 'feel' and 'see' the characters. Just something about the writing seemed.. distant.

Has/did anyone else notice that?

I read and struggled through the first book. I just... the writing wasn't good. There were continuity errors, spelling and grammar mistakes and I agree, I couldn't empathise with the characters, or 'see' them.

I read it after watching seasons 1 & 2 of the TV show, so I should have had some kind of connection to the characters - but nada. I didn't bother reading the rest of the series... though I've heard it gets better.

I think the writing gets better as the books go along, as do the storylines and characters. If you can suffer through the early ones, the books are quite enjoyable. They're never going to be Shakespeare, but they're entertaining.

I thought that too. I couldn't get into the first one. It took me a while to get through it. But as I work my way through them I find myself enjoying them more and more. Now I've recently finished Dead as a Doornail and I can't wait to get the next one! Definatley worth sticking it out for a bit I reckon.

I watched True blood first. It wasn't really until I think just before season 2 or season 3 aired that I read all the Sookie Stackhouse books. I think the books get better as you go along.

You should try to give it another shot, Bree.

I actually love it sometimes I got sick of Bill. I prefer Eric shock there lol.
I do think the show is good because for some reason I was just addicted to it I don't know what it is but I couldn't help myself.

I feel okay about the new Sookie I kind of want to see her without Bill to see how she is. She seems different when he isn't around so it will be interesting if they just don't put them back together.

Alcied was one of the reasons I rushed to watch loved the actor on one tree hill and couldn't resist seeing him shirtless.

One thing I don't like is Tara started off very strong in a way and now she just seems so I don't know.
I love Sam and feel kind of bad for him. I am like can't he get someone.

The only thing I didn't like about season two was the storyline. It started to get better though.

Season one was easy to get through and I think that season and season three are my favorites so far.

Season two was weird I didn't like Mary anne at all she was so creepy and ate hearts.

Season three..... I'm forgetting who the villain was. Was it russel? The main thing I liked about season three was Franklin Mott and we all know what happened to him 🙁 he reminded me of spike lol I loved him
