Not based on true crime its fictional but Medium with Patricia Arquette is a really good series about a spiritualist medium who has dreams and visions about crimes.
I love medium!! It was an interesting supernatural take because it stayed pretty much in reality, and made you think maybe Mediums aren’t all frauds! ❤️Not based on true crime its fictional but Medium with Patricia Arquette is a really good series about a spiritualist medium who has dreams and visions about crimes.

Adnan Syed walks out of Baltimore courthouse after judge overturns his 2000 murder conviction
Adnan Syed — the man whose legal saga spawned the hit podcast “Serial” — walked away from a Baltimore courthouse Monday free of shackles after 23 years. Baltimore Circuit Judge Melissa Phinn overturned Syed’s…www.baltimoresun.com
I've seen that a lot of people seem to believe it was Jonbenet's brother who killed her accidentally, but I don't believe that. I don't there's enough to suggest that happened.
The sad thing is that there’s not enough evidence for any one avenue or suspect. All of it is thrown into question as soon as the note is brought up, since it was written inside the home, mentioned a ransom equivalent to the bonus that the father had earned earlier that year, and is signed bizarrely. Was it done by the parents? Or was it an intruder covering their tracks?
I would like to think that eventually answers will be given and things will be solved, but I don’t see that happening.
JonBenet Ramsey was dead as soon as 4 minutes and the skull fracture would have taken hours for her to die of. The skull fracture was discovered during the autopsy.Yeah there's not any theory that really explains everything which is why it's such a hard case to figure out. But the note is definitely one of the main things that makes it hard to believe it was an intruder who killed Jonbenet. I just struggle with the motive of the parents killing her, unless it was simply an accident but even then the autopsy showed that she didn't die from the injury of being hit on the head, she died from strangulation with a rope- and there's figure marks on her neck showing that she was fighting to get the rope off. So whoever was strangling her knew they were killing her.
I learned in the podcast today that they found evidence that Jonbenet was likely being sexually abused for a while before she died. Jonbenet and her brother would have a habit of wetting the bed as well which can be a thing that happens with abused children or children who are in a stressful household so it seems to me the likely culprit for who killed her is probably the same person or at least connected to whoever was abusing her.
There were hairs, fibers, shoe prints, beaver fur, that was never or has been tied to the Ramsays. No boot or hat with Beaver fur on it was found in the house. There is evidence that an intruder was in the house
There are 4 movies specifically that tweaked lines that were taken from. Dirty Harry, Speed, Ransom and Nick of Time. The ransom note in the movie Ransom is similar in tone to the Ramsey ransom note and has the same phrase He dies He dies He dies. In the Ramsey ransom note the phrase was changed to she dies, she dies, she dies. This was no accident, the intruder did his homework and it was planned.

The Ramseys play no fault in that part of the incident. A normal family in the mid-90s would not know what to do in the event their child is abducted. It makes sense they would call their "tribe" out to help them. They did not have the information we have now. Preserving crime scene evidence. Not touching the body. FFS, the fact that the police didn't escort John and his friend to the basement on their search for anything amiss! That right there could have prevented him from touching and removing the body, further contaminating evidence.
Maybe that's why they were sitting around doing nothing. It will be interesting to see if anything comes of the DNA.Another weird detail is that the note said to 'be rested' for the exchange but surely the intruder would have assumed they'd find the note in the morning since he was taking Jonbenet in the night so to instruct them to be rested doesn't make any sense.
If it was an intruder who killed her, why leave her body? Why hide her body? Why leave a ransom note if the body is in the house? Did the Ramseys initially think that Burke accidentally killed her and staged the scene--leaving the ransom note? I don't want to believe that a parent could leave a cord wrapped around the neck of their baby daughter, just to be "discovered" later. That is inhumane on the highest level.
The problem with this case isn't that it was unsolvable. It's that the police completely screwed up the investigation from the moment they arrived on scene. When Patsy called the police the morning of the 26th, dispatcher should have told her to keep family and friends outside of the house. I recognize it was a quick call, but she should have been trained to say "Police are on the way, don't let anyone in the house until police get there." Regardless that they didn't know she was dead yet, there was critical evidence in and around the house that could have led to an abductor. Once the police got there, they should have cordoned off the scene. The handling of the investigation by the police was absolutely abysmal. It doesn't matter that they were not experienced investigators, that is Police 101. When a crime happens, preserve the evidence!

Honestly, I agree, it seems the only way that this will ever be resolved is if the unknown DNA is added to a genealogical DNA database, like the Golden State Killer.
