Here is the reason that I typed up and saved on my computer (cuz I was so proud of myself) the instant that the second episode ended!:

Okay, I feel bad. I feel horrible. I feel like I cracked the code of Tru Calling.

There were few deaths in 1993.
In 1994 death rate sky rocketed.
Tru's mom died in 1993.

DUH!! Tru's mom was doing exactly what she's doing now!

This is really cool and exciting for me to have figured this out, but I figured it out within like 10 minutes of the second episode of the series... come on that's totally leaking too much information about the show at such an early point!

But still I will always watch Tru Calling.
 
hes sayong that tru's mom had the same calling that tru has and she passed iot on to tru
 
Yeah I think there was a deleted scene in the series premiere..

Because a couple at my school sorta of thought that same thing lissa
 
That is exactly what I thought!!!

In 'Putting Out Fires' Davis tells Tru that until 1993, (when Elise Davies died) the death rate in the area was unusually low.

I think maybe having witnessed her mothers death, Tru inherited the power.
 
hey thats cool i would have never thought of that... thats great though the show has more to offer then just that...
 
episode i missed was the most important

the episode where he her boss tells her that he knows.. is the only ep so far i missed is that the one thats putting out fires?
 
No, Davis tells Tru that he knows about her ability to help the dead at the end of the shows fifth episode 'Haunted'.
 
Yes, but Davis does have something to tell Tru at the end of Episode 9, but she takes a call from her sister and he says that he will tell her another time.

I think Davis knew Tru's mom.
 
She had to have maybe worked for him somehow for her to be able to have access to the bodies to touch them to get sent back doesn't she?
