Has anyone here read this book by Robert Heinlein? I read it back when I was in college, and just started reading it again recently. The various "portals" used in "Buffy" and "Angel" just reminded me of it.
Heinlein wrote some great science fiction/adventure novels, though his later ones seemed to go in directions concerning sex and politics that made some people uncomfortable. Probably his most famous book, though not my personal favorite, was "Stranger In A Strange Land."
