TV Shows That Were Cancelled Too Soon

Definitely on board with Dollhouse.
Two Girls and a Guy, just cause it ended on a cliffhanger that was never solved.
My Name Is Earl, for the same reason as above; those damn cliffhangers!
Revolution.

Arrested Development, obviously. It still had a couple of seasons, at the very least, left in it. It flopped due to ratings or something but it's an amazing show. Unfortunately, the revival was kind of bad because the creator changed (naturally because it was 10 years later and everything was different), so the new season was practically not a continuation of the original series.

Usually, if a show has 4-5 seasons and gets cancelled, I don't mind at all, because shows that go on longer than that tend to ruin themselves. It's best when a show has a clear beginning and end, and runs for 4-5 seasons. Keeps the quality up.

For the most part, I agree. And then there are shows like Dexter which, imo, should have stopped at one season 🙂

I liked The Ringer. I was sad when that was cancelled.

Many others have already been mentioned. I’m glad they brought back Arrested Development but it wasn’t the same.

The Ringer was great, I binged it in a day, couldn't put it down.
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
That's a good call. Great show that was cancelled before it got started.

Besides that I of course agree on Firefly like many others.

Feels like there should be something else but I can't think of anything at the moment...

Angel
Dollhouse
Tru Calling
Firefly

Most shows I watch are long lasting shows to binge; I don't think I've except experienced getting attached to a new show and having it cancelled yet.

Now I'm not to bothered, but back when I really wanted more seasons of Veronica Mars too!
Good point about more Angel, I love Not Fade Away, but another season would've been nice. 🙂

Might have been nice. It might have been a train wreck too and ended up being disavowed by the fans. Don't really think another season would have really worked considering everything that had happened leading up to it. They would have had to do some major retconning for it to really feel like "Angel" to me.

Fair point, and considering how I feel about season 6-7 of most shows out there, they are usually were the quality goes to die. Because of Btvs' end I had kind of lost faith in Joss' vision of things for Angel as well.

That said, I'm not ruling out that another season could've been good. What do you think they would've needed to retcon?

Let's see... Cordy was dead, Fred was dead, Gunn was dead, Wes was dead. That's pretty much the entire cast of the show- gone. Granted you still had Illyria and Spike, but the entire show would have wholly been different. It would have been the equivalent to a superhero show, and not "Angel Investigations" anymore.

But Gunn and Wes dies in Not Fade Away, with a season 6, Joss probably wouldn't have killed them then. So you have them, Illyria/Fred and Spike. On top of Angel and maybe Connor, at least as a guest star. That's such a big pile of people on top of Angel that he, if he did breathe, wouldn't be able to.
