So the American Tv season has officially begun, correct? Time to be a geek again.

I've seen the House, and Smallville premiere's. They were both 'ok'. Dexter, too, that one was awesome. What else do I watch...

Lost.. Don't think that's started yet.
Supernatural. I haven't seen the premiere yet. (I thought this show was pathetic from what I had seen of it, but a friend convinced me to give it another go. Which I'm glad I did, its good fun at times. It still has its flaws, but it does creepy real well, something Buffy never pulled off).

Are there any good new shows to watch? What's hot these days.

You watch Smallville? Man the whole image of you I had in my head has blown up! *in shock*
Well, Heroes started up again. If you liked it last season, it's still good. If you didn't there's nothing so far that's going to change your mind. Although there is a new character played by an actress who played one of the potentials on Buffy. Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) is supposed to be making an appearance soon too.

Of the returning shows the one I'm liking so far is Prison Break. Well, there's Dexter, of course, as you mentioned, but that's at another level. That's cable.

The networks are offering up a bunch of new Genre shows. They're almost all worth checking out. I'll rate them for you from worst to best.

Cavemen **. Almost watchable.

Moonlight**1/2 Vampire detective story that seems to want to go in some fresh directions, but it's like the suits at the networks jump on them before they get out, chew them up, and spit out the same old, palp. Some interesting stuff manages to squeeze through every once in awhile though.

Reaper *** Funny, and Fun. The Devil has this nerd kid retrieving escaped souls, so the kid, and his 2 misfit buddies do that. They seem to be enjoying the experience.

Bionic Woman ***1/2 A re-imagining of the old Bionic Woman series. Better, stronger, faster.

Journeyman **** Quantum leap if it took itself serious. Great stuff.

Pushing Daisies **** Unique, gorgeous fantasy about a pie maker who can bring people back from the dead by touching them.

There's more on all this at AfterDarness.com if you're interested.

YOU are so much better than TV Guide!
Bionic Woman has problems, but lots of potential. Good for those who miss the weekly Buffy/Angel fisticuffs, action.

So far, I'm liking Chuck too. It's kind of Alias, if a tech support geek were the lead. Sort of wacky farce and physical comedy mixed in with spy-fi hi jinx.

I gave a lot of shows a try this fall, assuming I'd be able to easily drop several, thinking I'd hate them, or else they'd get canceled in a hurry. So far I haven't really dropped anything except Kid Nation which I wasn't that interested in anyway. I'm thinking I'm not gonna give Cavemen and Carpoolers another try, even though Carpoolers seems like it could improve.

Other than the astounding, excellent perfection that is Pushing Daisies, my favorite show of the season is ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money", which is just all around pure fun and awesomeness. I'm also really enjoying NBC's entire new slate, Reaper, Aliens in America...Gossip Girl is pretty good aside from the horrendous name. Moonlight is okay, I'll probably drop it.

As for returning shows, I'm watching quite a few, even ones I haven't kept up with before. Supernatural, The Office, 30 Rock, Heroes (which isn't that good this season), Bones, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, CSI: NY, Cold Case...

Yeah I'll just stop here. 🙂

Journeyman **** Quantum leap if it took itself serious. Great stuff.

I would agree if I ever watched Quantum Leap [however, I have heard of it]

This is my favorite freshman show right now. I like the feel of it, and the concept of unwillingly going back in time to save people is cool too. However, I'm excited to see how else it develops along the way.

Though I am going to try "Life" tonight, and currently have a guilty pleasure of Gossip Girl. Kristen Bell's narrations got me watching it, and the acting and writing made me stick with it. It seems like a good drama that should do well on the CW. Hopefully, it'll continue to succeed, and the CW won't abruptly end it, as it did with my other favorite Kristen Bell show.

Returnees on my Watch List are:
ER
House
Bones
Law & Order: SVU
America's Next Top Model
One Tree Hill [In January]
Smallville [sometimes, though i prefer to wait for the DVDs]

ANTM is really what I'm all about recently...
Man, I must not watch that much TV. My list includes Heroes on Mondays, Supernatural on Thursdays, and One Tree Hill when I remember it's on. I've caught a few other shows here and there but that's it. How you guys can watch like 10 or 15 shows is beyond me.

Man, how i miss my beloved Veronica.

So far I've been watching Gossip Girl, Bones, House, Ugly Betty, and Grey's Anatomy. I haven't been home to watch Life Is Wild or Moonlight. I would like to try to watch them to see whether I'd like them or not.

Weeds, unfortunately they're a little bit more than mid-season. 30 Rock however just started it's second season and I'd advice every single person here to check it out because it is THE BEST!

It can't be everyone's cup of tea, and it's actually hard to imagine it lasting years as a series, but who saw last night's Pushing Daisies? Really good. Bionic Woman...hope it lasts. You gotta think it can keep getting better with some time.

Life has been kind of crazy lately (my life, not the show 'Life'), so TV hasn't been a focal point.
BUT...
ANTM and House have been fixtures.
Also, Real World Sydney's really good, but I think I'm only watching it because I have an audition with them next month.
So yeah...
