I REALLY tried to enjoy this movie and I kinda did but the main thing missing in this film was the development of love. There wasn't any and I also think the actor cast as Edward was horrible! but Kristin (Loved her in Panic Room) and the actress who played Alice were great and my favorite also.

Really? I thought Kristin sucked. Especially the voice overs. And the direction was more than flawed. New Moon should be a hell of a lot better.

Also, Breaking Dawn was the best IMO. I hated all that Jake/Edward hate each other to death thing. It got old in book two. Let alone having to deal with it for another two books. At least they tolerated each other in the fourth one.

Though I must say that Jake imprinting on Renesmee was WAY weird and a bit of pedophilia IMO.

I love the books, well not as much as i like buffy but that's no surprise, favourite book has to be Breaking Dawn, i was totally gutted when it finished...i hope Stephanie writes Midnight Sun....i think that's what it would be called...

I hate Twilight... The plot is stupid, and it's all just a mix up of other vampire stories... Fine by me if you like it, but it is seriously few people on the boards who likes Twilight. And this is Buffy-boards.. If you wanna start by making a thread about Twilight, you should make a thread about Twilight THE VILLAIN.
Don't take it personal, but if something bugs me, it's Twilight... I just...can't....grrarrrgh

I enjoyed Twilight for what they are: A guilty pleasure. Though I really started to hate that sparkling stalker with a passion and I'm worried for all the girls who think Edward's and Bella's relationship is twu luv.

I lost all the little respect I had for Meyer though when I read that she doesn't have a clue about - other - vampire mythology.

I was never into vampires before. ... But after I got started on [the "Twilight" series] I thought, "You know, I'm going to check into this whole vampire thing." So I tried reading a couple books, and it freaked me out, because I thought, "Did I do this wrong? Is this a rule I didn't know about?" It's just easier for me not to touch that stuff until I'm done. I'm going to get "Buffy" and watch the whole thing back-to-back, because I love Joss Whedon — I can't believe I've never seen it.

It's not because she's never seen Buffy but that she didn't even bother to do a little reading what other authors did with vampires.
It was almost as if she said: "I was going to do research but then I got scared."

Jacob and Rosalie are the only ones in the series that I enjoyed reading about. Bella and her moaning over Edward got old halfway through book one.

Me too. But I don't like so much S.Meyer, I think she had a great idea about books, but her writing isn't so well. J.K.Rowlling is much better.

And Breaking Down really disappoint me.

an atomic explosion right near the beginning that even managed to kill the Vampires!

The story is about a girl who is so hopeless that she becomes obsessively dependant on a boy who is so controlling that he stalks her and can't even let her walk by herself.
