Twilight's Success=Buffy Feature Film?

To be honest, even if they could do this, I don't like the sound of it. If they're trying to make it because of Twilight, it's never going to happen. I've not met a single person who likes Twilight, and even those I've spoken to online who do, mostly hate Buffy. Of course I would love a Buffy film, but to be honest I don't want everyone who's seen Twilight to suddenly become a Buffy fan. =/

I read the article and after reading numerous Joss Whedon interviews and watching all kinds of interviews and film clips on Youtube and elsewhere I just have one thing to say -

That Reporter is a lying rat. I don't think Joss ever said any such thing, and knowing how rabid the fans for the Buffyverse are I think it's just cruel.

New Game - Devise a nasty end to liars like that reporter.

Tied to an ant-hill, covered with honey, eyelids stapled open and forced to watch episodes of Charmed alternating with Titanic, Twilight and Episode 1.

The chances of us ever seeing a "Buffy" or "Angel" movie starring the original cast is, in my opinion, about the same as Miss K winning the Irish Sweepstakes. The chances, however, of a movie/mini-series/series located in the Buffy-verse, involving all or almost all new characters, are much better, though I wouldn't be looking for it anytime within the next few years. And it's gonna take more than the success of a single vampire based movie to make it happen.

Also, there might be a Veronica Mars movie. Maybe that would help the hope for a Buffy movie. Still optimistic.
