It has been almost two months since the Buffy Board Bannings, and in that time some forum rules have changed as well as an unappreciated House amnesty program.

Now that the dust has settled and we can look at the situation with cooler heads, I was wondering how did the banning affect you? Has the forum changed for you since the bannings? Is it a better or worse change? Looking back, was the correct decision made by instituting this ban (I am not saying the method by which it happened, but the action of the banning itself)?

And if you were one of those that took part in the House amnesty program? Do you like your new House better? Did the change in Houses affect your enjoyment or participation?

Inquiring minds want to know.. I want to know.

It's been two months already, really? wow, that sure went quickly...

While I'm still not happy about how it went, it's pretty clear to me it led to a change for the better. I think the rule changes that got made in the wake of the ban were all sensible, and the atmosphere on the boards is definitely back to the nice days of back when I first joined, not the constant tenseness it was the weeks/months before the ban. So while it should probably have been handled better in execution, it certainly served its purpose well. I'm at peace with it. 🙂

As for the House amnesty... well, noone in VH used it. You don't leave the home of the Gods for some less awesome dorm, anyway. 😉
 
Someone must not have visited Buffy Boards for about a week in May!

Anyway, I don't want to get into explaining it or anything. It's in the past, it should stay that way.

I was here, but i am totally clueless as to what happened...

Revolver, history is very important, it shapes who we are, so i think its very important to acknowledge what happened and to share it with anyone who asks for the information (like me!) 😀

yea but good god is it boring.
Kinda agree with Frketson, even though I WASN'T here...

I like the boards but it's definately interesting to me that I missed some big scandal.
