Since I'm really excited for these two movies to come out this October, I figured I'd share it with the message board that was built on a show about fighting vampires. lol

Firstly,

30 Days of Night: Dark Days
The sequel to the hit movie released several years ago. In this film, the only survivor of the last film (though the actress was replaced) is traveling America trying to warn people of very real threat of vampires. It is on this journey that she meets a group of people, each of them being a survivor of a massacre in seperate towns, who want to recruite her to wage war on the vampires before they launch another massive attack on an unsuspecting town.

Second,

Lost Boys: The Thirst
A new drug being passed around clubs and raves is infuzed with vampire blood. It's being used by a master vampire to breed an undead army of vampires. Two of the characters from the original Lost Boys reunite with a group of all new fighters to battle the vampires before they take over.

Oh no... I didn't even dare to look at "The Lost boys" trailer, the original is... like sacred to me, one of my favorite ever movies... sequels usually don't... meet up to the expectations shall we say?

Well, this is actually the third in the series. A sequel came out maybe a year or two ago. The only original cast member was Corey's. It had the feel of the original movie, but was just a newer. It was almost like a remake yet a sequel at the same time. The third movie, the one I posted at the beginning of the thread, looks like it's going in a totally new direction. Which could be good or bad.

Lost Boys looks corny, but I'm sure my sister & I will see it- we loved the original! And hearing that song again was so exciting!!

I've got the soundtrack around here somewhere, I'm sure in LP form....

😱😱 This is the third one?
Wow I'm so relieved that I missed the sequel then... for obvious reasons 😛

I did look at the "30 days of night"" trailer and that looks decently interesting, I love vamp movies so I'll give it a chance 🙂

ooo now I love vamp movies especially cheesey one's so i'm excited about these 🙂 I'm a huge fan of the original Lost Boys movie 😀

Probably because the pay wasn't big enough. Direct to DVD movies usually have half or less of a budget that theatrical movies have. I think Wrong Turn 3's budget was only $2,000,000...which you can definitely tell. :-/ lol

...and there's another vampire movie is coming out, I'm not sure when, called Stake Land. It stars Danielle Harris, which people will recognize from the Halloween's and almost every B-horror movie ever. lol The movie looks kind of intense, not that it's porn or anything, but I think the trailer is rated too high for me to post here. lol

I hated the sequel to the lost boys didn't think it was done very well but I will say this one looks a little better I will give it a shot. It is so sad to see the trailer with Corey Haim passing away. I agree with Taake in a way the original was very good and I hope this one doesn't ruin that.

The 30 days of night one looks interesting and I will be on the lookout for that. It is weird the main actress didn't come back but I like Kiele Sanchez.

Man, you just gotta love Feldman trying to sound like Christian Bale...loooooool

Well the sequel to 30 Days of Nights looks rubbish and I wasn't even a fan of the first one. Too much blood and gore but what I don't get about the sequel from the trailer is the vampires are now speaking English! Whats that all about? Not sure on Melissa George's replacement either. They should have just made a new female lead character not replace her with a different actress.

Don't forget about Let Me In, which sounds like a truly scary vampire movie- I think child vampires are the creepiest.

I didn't forget I am counting down the days ;)
Stop with the crappy sequels already. If you want to cash on the vampire bandwagon (or fangwagon) why not tackle something new or at least have a different spin on it.

The original 30 Days of Night movie was a lot of cack so I won't be going near the sequel. As for the Lost Boys monstrosity, well the less said about that one the better!

Agreed. I refuse to see Let Me In, because the original is a great film that shouldn't be remade. Also, the remake is directed by the same director of Cloverfield, and I can't stand that movie.

I actually never really thought of this as a remake just a version for the Americans.
