Two new vampire movies

Once the vampire hype is over, there will only be something else, is it time for the witches?!?!

No offense, but I honestly don't follow that position. I mean, it's not like the American version will somehow make impossible for you to ever watch the original movie again. "Let the right one in" is a great film, truly great. One of my all time favorites. But the truth is, sadly, is a very little known movie. And one of the reasons that "LtROI" isn't bigger IS the fact that it isn't an american movie. Or that it isn't in English.

I don't hate American Remakes, I don't even deem them unnecessary, on the contrary. You always can use them as way to make someone, who isn't as enlighted as we are 😀, to watch the original.

Like recently, I got two of my students to watch the original "The Karate Kid". One of them had loved the remake and one of them had disliked it. But the fact that they saw it, it sparked in the the interested in watching the original one, albeit for different reasons.

Remakes can go either way, they can be good (Ocean's Eleven, The Departed) or they can suck (plenty of examples to choose from out there). But even if the new version crashes and burns, that won't somehow negated the awesomeness of the original flick... did that sentence make sense? (It did in portuguese...😛).

Me... I'm looking forward to "Let me in". I liked what I've seen from it so far. But it the movie does stink, I'll just walk out of the theater, go home and watch "Let the right one in". 😀
