Wanted to know what you guys think...

1. Why did Faith stop Buffy from killing Lady Gigi?

A) Save her B from killing human
B) Save Gigi
C) Keep playing her under-cover role
D) Just do the right thing at the moment
E) Save Buffy from being kill by that warlock cuz he's gonna kill her before she could kill his lady.
F) (.....your opinion......)

2. If Faith didnt stop Buffy, is Buffy really gonna kill Lady Gigi?
(I didnt put any 'yes' choices. haha)
A) No cuz she's gonna do something like knock Gigi out cold
B) No cuz that warlock will kill her first
C) (......your opinion.....)

p.s. sorry about my english

I would say B) - because Faith really quite liked Gigi and didn't want to see her dead.
My answer for your second question is C) - I do think Buffy would have killed her, Gigi would have killed Buffy if she'd got the chance, it was a kill or be killed kind of fight.

My opinion on 1, why Faith stopped Buffy from killing Gigi:

To B) save Gigi from being killed by Buffy (she genuinely liked the gal, but also, Faith is learning that killing humans is flat out wrong), and E) save Buffy from being zapped by the warlock the moment she did that. And because that was D) the right thing to do.

My opinion on 2, that if Faith didn't stop Buffy, was Buffy really going to kill Gigi?

I think A) Buffy would have put some beat-down on her and gone a little nuts, but would have stopped herself from killing her.

So, no. She wouldn't have killed her - unless Gigi was about to actually kill her first. That's what I'm thinking, anyway. Buffy tries hard not to kill random humans, but her philosophy on allowing people to die in order to serve the greater good is sort of changing this season. Perhaps Buffy would've stopped herself in realizing that this is a fellow Slayer, and maybe she could be reformed. Or not. My gut just says Buffy would probably throttle her pretty hard then let her live.

Nothing says she wouldn't have then kidnapped her and taken her back to Xander and the others for a severe re-education, though.

Btw, the warlock would have killed Buffy without hesitation, that's what I think, and Buffy would have never gotten to Gigi. Faith could have not gotten to Mr. Wizard in time to stop him from zapping Buffy, then back to Buffy to stop her from killing Gigi. So she did the next best thing. She probably kinda knew that Buffy would fleep out and think Faith was trying to kill her though... again...

I think in this season, Buffy finds it hard to not kill human. And I wondering if she could kill Simone the mohawk slayer in issue 23(if she has to). And doesnt she ever kill human in season 5(those knights)?

The reason why Giles was keeping Buffy out of the loop on this case (much to her anger) was that he believed Gigi had to be killed, and he knew (or believed) that Buffy couldn't do it... and he didn't want her to have to.

Giles partnered with Faith, as cruel as it seems, because she's the one with experience as a heartless killer and would therefore "do what needs to be done" without worrying about the ethics.

The ironic twist is that, this season, Faith is actually more reluctant to kill than Buffy is. I think Giles was astonished to find that out about her.

Would Buffy have killed Gigi (assuming Roden didn't kill her first)? Maybe or maybe not, but I think the telling point is that Faith believed she would.

Reflecting on that, I think I'm finding it astonishing that:

a) Giles continues to sell Faith short, look on her as a murderer, and abuses her trust of him.

b) Giles thought murder was the only solution.

c) Faith was still willing to work with Giles even after all that.

I still have bad feelings left over from S7 when Giles mislead Buffy so that Robin could kill Spike. He abused Buffy's trust of him, and essentially used Robin as his henchman. Robin might have been fooled for a moment but he realized later that it was Giles' agenda that he was furthering by killing Spike, not his own. There were a lot of similarities to that, in what he did with Faith and Gigi in S8. This Giles seems like a different Giles than the one from way back in Season 3, where he nearly had a nervous breakdown at attempting to follow the Council's protocol for the Slayer's 18th birthday.

Something is very definitely not right with Giles this season. Faith needs to stay on her guard.

(Judging by the fork in Giles's arm, that shouldn't be a problem.)

I think that by the end of "No Future For You" Giles had come to see Faith in a different light. Maybe he did sell her short initially, by only seeing her as the 'wetworks gal' but by the end his tune had changed and he wanted to work with her in helping the new slayers who were having difficulties. I'll be interested to see where they are at in their upcoming issue...

Something Wesley figured out years ago, at least in regards to Angel.

I think the thing is that Faith may have a skewed sense of morality and nobility where Buffy just creates her own rules from scratch.
