Ok...so I was happily playing Knights of the Old Republic this morning and it froze and cut to a screen informing me that my disc may be dirty or damaged. I took it out and it was ALL. SCRATCHED. UP. So now I need a very cheap way to fix it. I realize I can't fix the scratches but is there anyway I can minimize the freeze/dirty damaged pattern?

Thanks!

Some of that stuff works...I used to have this solution that came with a contraption where you spray the stuff on, stick it in the thing, spin the disc and it came out a little better than before....

I can't seem to find it online though. It's like a those little motorised fixers except without the motor.

My help sucks...never mind : erm :

Of little use to you probably, but I know a shop that has a disc buffer. They'll repair a disc for 4 quid each. It's essentially an industrial Disc Doctor. It buffs off the top layer of plastic, removing minor scratches, but if they're too deep or the disc is cracked, I'm afraid it's a lost cause.

Thanks Jill! :D I'll check it out! 4 quids would be...lol.
you could try a thin layer of toothpaste, rub it on gently with a cloth. That worked one time.

You could go to like blockbusters or a video store, or the electronics section of a store, and they sometimes have something for this, im not sure of any prize ranges but there might be a cheap one
