Uber Vamp Diet

I'd have thought blood.. Seeing as they are vamps?

Or possibly cos they are so "uber", they feed off other regular vampires feeding, so they're all part of a cycle. Or maybe not.
 
if they're the purest form of vampires, maybe they don't need to feed as often as real vamps. perhaps they can go decades without feeling...or, you know, centuries, since they were trapped under the Hellmouth. lol

ok, so i'm fishing here, i have no idea. 😛
 
So we're assuming that The First, in it's infinite power over people, cannot get someone to go to the butchers?

The uber-vamps feed on blood like any other vampire.

Thats some pretty big assumptions there Sparky, considering we know for a fact that Ubervamps aren't Vampires in the same vein(pun intended) as regular vamps.
 
I always thought they feasted on blood. I remember in (I think) Empty Places/Touched, we see the ubers eat one of the potentials after the bomb explosion. I remember that one of the ubervamps took a bite out of one of the girls down in the Hellmouth during the final fight.

That could be just because they are vamps, and they bite, but I just always thought that they needed the blood like others.

Yes I remember seeing the bitey ubervamps nibbling on potentials.
hay all im new and yea i never thort about that but also why dose it take ages for buffy a verry experenced slayer to have to try realy hard to kill one but when every one gose in to the hell mouth all the new slayer are killing them with ease ?
 
I had envisioned a demonic version of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, but instead of a chocolate river it was A positive.

I doubt Augustus Gloop would make out as well in the Hellmouth version though.

Yeah, I know it´s pretty ridiculous. I guess the scythe somehow makes them experienced all of the sudden, or maybe all of that training in the backyard finally paid of. 😉 Joss is great with emotions and even if I think he´s a great writer, logic just isn´t his strongest point. Much emotion less logic always beat much logic, less emotion but it´s nice when it´s much of both.

Back on topic: I never actually thought of what übervamps feed on since we´ve seen them drink blood from potentials. But living in the Hellmouth without any humans do seem to make it difficult. But as said, maybe they don´t need to feed that often, or maybe not at all. Or it´s just another thing we´re not supposed to think about.

It has been theorized before in other threads that the first uber vamp to come
through the seal was a champion, the baddest of the bad, maybe something equivalent to the Slayer in uber vamp land.

Hmm, the übervamp of the übervamps? Well, I guess that works. And since it´s the best explanation I´ve heard so far I´ll stick to it for the moment even if I´m not totally pleased with the idé.

Well, it's either that or another, "Joss screwup and had to change the storyline just to make everything work out."
In the commentary for "Chosen," Joss acknowledges that it shouldn't have been that easy to kill these guys considering how hard it was for Buffy the first time around, admits that it's a plothole, but urges the watcher to go with the story.

Down there in Hellmouth Central, there doesn't appear to be anything but wall to wall ubervamps, so maybe they're cannibals. That would also explain the all leather wardrobe as well.
