UFOs and extraterrestrials

Everytime I see there's a program about UFOs on TV, I watch it. Usually on the History Channel. I've seen the same episodes many times. I also watch many astronomy programs. Overall, I'd say it's all very fascinating to me. And I'm a big believer in UFOs. They're even held responsible for the explanations for the stories in the bible, which probably involved extraterrestrials. But let's not get into religion here.
And they seemed to appear and be involved in many events in the history of humanity and all over the world.

Do you believe we're alone in the universe? Do you believe extraterrestrials are visiting our planet? And what do you think about this whole subject in general?

I think that extraterrestrials might exist. I'm not adamant that they do, but I'm not adamant that they don't either.

If they do exist, we're better off not knowing. Most people struggle to treat fellow human beings with respect, so how would people act towards aliens?! 🙁

[MENTION=10352]Chosen Enemy[/MENTION], did you see the tv programme where it said something about aliens being involved with the pyramids? Because we couldn't build them to that standard now, so they have no idea how the Egyptians did it. Or something along those lines.

I think that it's probable that life has developed somewhere in other planets but it seems highly unlikly that we will ever get to contact extraterrastrial living beings. There are too many variables: being near enough, being developed at same moment, having an advanced enough technology, etc...
My general opinion is: probably there was/will be life on other planets, it's just really unprobable that there's life somewhere right in the same moment when there's life on Earth.

Heh, I was just thinking that I remembered seeing somewhere that people thought the stuff that happened with the Native Americans was to do with extraterrestrials. Then I remembered that was on South Park. 😉

So, our galexy has billions of planets and stars, outside our galexy there are billions of more galexies with more billions of planets each, the universe has a number of planets and galexies bigger than we as humans could ever grasp... Are you saying that none of those planets contain life (that is more than vermin and germs) right now? Just curious about your last sentence, why are you saying that right in the same moment there aren't life outside earth?

Well, South Park is based on true stuff. If there was such episode, it was probably refering to the Mayans or the Incas in South America. If you don't know about them, I high recommend looking it up, it's really interesting. Though I think you do know about them, maybe you just don't know that that story was about them 🙂

It's not just the pyramids. There are many historical structures all around the world that humans couldn't possibly build or get there, or have the technology to do so. People tried for many years to understand and find explanations, but they couldn't find any.

I think it was the Thanksgiving episode 😛 I'm guessing that there was a programme saying that extraterrestrials were involved in Thanksgiving, and SP decided to exaggerate is 🙂

I just googled it - looks like they were parodying Ancient Aliens 😛

I don't really know an awful lot about the Mayans or the Incas. Except for they apparently predicted the end of the world 😉

That's what gives time for life to develop and get really advanced. Maybe millions of years ahead of us. That's why they can have the technology to visit us.

I think if there ever were to have a contact, is by them contacting us.
The thing is, there were contacts before. They taught the primitive men (not THAT primitive, not in the stone age) how to do things and gave them technology that they wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. And like I said in the first post, and you're welcome not to believe it, I just saw all the explanations which made sense, they were involved in many things in the bible time, and according to the theories (with explanations, they're not just saying things) they were there when all the bibicle stories happened.

Yes, there are many parodies.

The predicted the end of the world, but honestly I don't really believe in it, and it doesn't have much to do with extraterrestrials. Could be, but that's not it. They were very advanced and knew stuff. They had things that humans at that time couldn't possibly have and do and know.

The thing is, and the idea behind all I'm saying, the people back then saw those UFOs, and extraterrestrials and all they could do. And they thought they were Gods. At that time in so many places around the world, humans saw extraterrestrials and UFOs and converted that to Gods. They saw a spaceship with fire and figures coming down from the sky. So that's what they thought they saw-Gods.

Humans have found nothing ever, to even slightly prove there is other life.
If you want to believe in extraterrestrial life, you will believe it, simply because you want to.

Well, there are experts who analyze the videos and the photographs. I can't be sure about ghosts, but about UFOs, because people see them all the time, and there are people who can aprove or disaprove if that one is real or not.

Not saying that E.Ts have definitely visited, but even if they had, and we had the right technology, the governments would never allow us to know about it. Religion is an opiate of the masses, and if people didn't have religion anymore, I wouldn't even like to imagine what would happen.

That's right. They know, but they don't want to create panic around the world, so they cover it all us, information is being destroyed. It pretty much happened before. There was a hoax, it's been announced that alients invented earth. There was HUGE panic and people actually killed themselves. This, by the way, is a fact.

So... believing in God.... Is it more than a belief? Does God really make more sense?
I'm not saying God doesn't exist. But if you're saying beliving that there's another life in the whole huge universe doesn't make sense, how does God make more sense?
I'm seriously trying not to get into a religion debate here, but I just gotta ask. Because so many people believe in God. But it doesn't make sense to believe we're not alone in this universe?
