UFOs and extraterrestrials

Do you believe we're alone in the universe? Do you believe extraterrestrials are visiting our planet? And what do you think about this whole subject in general?

My first thought is YAY!!! I love this topic!!!! 🙂

I have no idea, but the concept that in all the vastness that is the universe (infinite!!!) that ours is the only planet that's inhabited seems.... highly unlikely (and frankly kinda scary and lonely)

I feel in my heart that we are not alone.

I love exploring this concept. So much! 🙂

Even the UFO sightings, we have experts for that too. Experts in many fields: pilots, the air force, astronomies, scientists, technology and all kinds of human flying objects (plains I mean) experts, who saw in many cases unknown flying objects (UFOs), whether it was by eye (like many pilots, who often see those things and get shushed), or in the radar on the ground, by photographs, by videos or by stories... those experts couldn't come up with any known human flying object, nothing that looked like anything we (and they, the experts) know and recognize, or it has abilities that our technology doesn't have. Those people know about plains and stuff, and what they see they couldn't recognize as something from earth. Simply because it's not possible.
Saying those statements (UFOs coming to earth, the universe mysteries, etc.) are based on nothing is simply not true.

I wasn't talking about UFOs. I was talking about other life in the universe.
But what you're saying is also very interesting. I don't know what think about UFOs though.
They seem like fairy tales to me. Stuff that people say happened to them, but didn't.

Right, not necessarily. It's seems like magic to us. Things we think aren't possible. Though those civilizations might have found the right formula. Many things we thought weren't possible, we did them! The man of thousands of years ago wouldn't have believed building such thing as a computer is possible. It would seem like magic to him (or more possibly, gods' tool). So you never know what other civilization discovered. Even to me, who's not a scientist, I can't grasp the fact that building a computer is possible and how they could pull it off. But there are people who know and do.
There's also the possibility that other planets have materials that we on earth don't have or know of.

This is true. Michael Crichton wrote about it in his novel Timeline.
That a hundred years ago, the scientists thought they had proved everything there is with the physical laws and suddenly they discovered quantum mechanics etc.

And about bigger planets than earth for resources, bigger planets or closer plantes don't mean better or more resources, the resources they actually need. Who don't know what they need. There's even a theory about them needing gold (again, this theory is based on things people discovered), maybe we're the only planet in our galaxy that has gold.

I didn't mean that bigger planets are automatically better for resources.
I meant that there are better planets than earth if they were looking for resources. I mean, our fossil oil and natural gas is running out.
If they were looking for water there are also many planets that have more water than we.
Gold? I don't know what they would need gold for. Looks pretty, but what els can you do with gold? There are far better metals.

Of course there are many things that didn't happen, and hoax, and with the technology today it's very easy to fake these things.
But when you have experts (like the examples I said above), who look at evidences, and they say it's nothing they know or recognize about things they actually see in their own eyes in all kinds of different forms and ways (sure, they also recognize when something IS familiar and from this earth, they know when something seems fake or a mistake), it's not so easy to tell them that they're wrong. They know what we have here on Earth, they're not just people from the treet who see things and figure what they're seeing.

I'm not even gonna use the word "proof", just "evidence" for all these kind of stuff.
