Ugly Ugly Clothes!

Those baggy dungaree jeans (haha! managed to keep that word in mind now 😀 ) can't really count, though. They're obviously Buffy's official "I'm depressed" clothes (just watch it, she only wears them when she's really down, and pretty much whenever she's down), so they're supposed to not look fashionable. 😉

I do like Willow's long skirts. The wiccan/new age type ones, yet I can never get the Faith's ping countryside dress Mayor was so glad with. To my taste it was plain and boring, and didn't look good on Faith at all.

The late nineties - or the nineties at all - was not a time that will be renowned for it's classic fashion. Sometimes I am very glad that I was actively uninterested in trends at that point (and lacked the finances anyway), that way I saved myself from the worst photo album disasters. There were good points, too, though. Buffy's dress in "Prophecy Girl" is absolutely something I'd have coveted in -96, and I still adore it.

I was the ep that had Xander in the bad orange top a view days ago! i was like what happened. What did happen to Xanders "style?" it went crazy after season 2 like they didn't really know how what look he was going for. That annoyed me -.-

Well, maybe they wanted him to look like he didn't know quite what he was looking for? If, at all, they wanted him to be going for a look in the first place. Besides, with Xanders family situation, it's not as if he would have been used to having loads of money on his hands for shopping clothes. Also, clothes are a lot cheaper today than just ten years ago. (At least that's true in Europe, I suppose the US isn't much different.)

I don't know, I believe 80ties were even more horrible in fashion sense than the 90ties, so I can tolerate a lot of clothes in BTVS in general. I'm not that clothing freak - most of the time I don't even pay much attention to it, except when there's obvious lack of taste and colorblindness attack's on.

I think the spectacular outfits on the show completely overwhelms the bad, ugly outfits. And you have to remember that the clothes went with the character's personality. Of course Xander's clothes are going to be slightly dorky and out of style because he's not really a character who cares about that.

But yes, there were some very atrocious ensembles put together on all the characters.

You know what, i like all 3 of thease outfits, im really big on fashion i love clothes and i think thease outfits are great, the middel one is abit omg mixing with differnt things but of the time i think it would of been great, if it was in fashion now i'd wear it its a good mix and the color of the long cardigan i think looks great of SMG! The outfit willow has on is one of my favs willow outfits!
