There's a rumour going around that a new event organiser is breaking onto the scene to produce a halloween vampire party with hopefully Buffy guests included on:

Friday 1st November

London (probably a Heathrow Hotel)

7pm-3am

Price £39.00

I've yet to confirm these details as I'm awaiting to see flyers - but someone was apparently selling tickets around the SFX convention at the weekend.

More details as I get them
 
oooh this sounds interesting!! Possible yet another convention that i'll be at this year 😀
 
Argh...dont they do anything in canada anymore??? lol you guys are sooo lucky to get to go to all these places and im stuck here with nothing.....lol...you guys have to take lots of pictures and post them here so that i dont feel so lonely!!!!!!!!
 
OK as strange and selfish as this may sound - it wouldn't matter to me whether any of the cast are at a party or not.

I would go to a vampire ball to dress up and party with my friends.

Whilst I have nothing against guests I think they can make and break a party - you either have a good party guest who mingles or you have quiet party guests.

I'd hate to see a good party disrupted by a schedule 🙂 Saying that, if there is a good party guest I will take pictures in a polite way (and not by annoying them on the dancefloor like I've seen people do at previous conventions!! 😡 ) by getting action shots and then backing away to resume to normal socialising 😀
 
lol....thats not really selfish i can sort of agree with that...also taking into consideration the closest celebrity ive been near was michelle kwan and other figure skaters so.....lol...

either way just have fun there!!!!!

She isn't the reason I watch Buffy, I watch it for the ensemble of characters. I suspect that SMG wouldn't actually do this type of event (she's never done a US one that I'm aware of and I assume that she would cost a lot of money to fly over. I can't see SMG being a convention type guest..... you need a guest that's willing to socalise, mingle, dance and have a few drinks 😉
 
I just wanted to add the following for people who are new to conventions/events:

It appears that unlike other conventions the regular con-goers are used to - this event will be a profit making event (most other buffy/angel events work together for the fans and donate any profits to charity)

As with any other event, if you are a convention newbie I suggest that you never book an event based on rumours or specific guests. Due to any future show bookings, guests are always booked subject to work commitments and can cancel at any point up to an event.

Also autographs aren't listed on the flyer and I expect this would be due to the time constraints of an evening event.

On the other hand, if you have nowhere to go on Halloween and you don't mind paying out £39.00 for a 8 hour party then this maybe your thing.
