Uk SyFy episodes of Buffy

For those that don't live in the UK SyFy have been showing re-runs of Buffy almost constantly for the last year and a half now. Great news!

Now for the bad news.

Apart from the fact that they have editted EVERY episode they are also skipping seasons!

Two months ago the last full run - that is all 144 episodes - came to an end.

Immeadiately SyFy began re-running S1. They got to the end of S2 and jumped straight to S7!

Why do they do this? It's annoying.

It boils my blood to think that I can watch Buffy every day of the week if I want to, and I do want to watch every day. What I don't want is for SyFy to skip complete entire seasons!

Most channels do that with most shows - the one that immediately springs to mind is the Bones reruns on LivingTV. So far, at least for the last two or so years, they have showed every single season, except for S4, the only season I haven't seen. They'll go up until the end of S7, then go back to S1 and start all over again - and skip S4! Everything else will be in order, they just miss S4 out completely. It's really annoying. I still don't know how Booth got amnesia!!!

I've watched three seasons of Charmed on DVD (I'm not especially proud of that as an adult man but there's something about it that keeps drawing me back in).

Anyway I spotted that a freeview digital channel called Pick was airing season three daily and I thought great I'll keep an eye on that for when season 4 begins. It went straight to season 7!

I've since worked out that Pick must have the rights to seasons 1-3 and 7-8 and E4 (an entirely unrelated channel) has seasons 4-6. (How this might have come about I have no idea!)

They're both on constant reruns in no particular order. But because they're on obscure channels I keep forgetting to keep an eye on their listings and miss the start of season 4.

I should just buy the DVDs, but now that I know I can watch them for free...

I watch Buffy on syfy as a fix. If I want the proper show I'll drag out the dvd's!
