Ultraviolet - UK Vampire series

Has anybody here ever seen Ultraviolet? It was a British vampire series that was on a couple years ago. It was either a mini-series or a quick cancellation (not sure which - being on the left side of the pond where it didn't air, I discovered it on DVD).

I actually liked it quite a bit. It had a kind of 24/X-Files/Alias superhip shadow government thing going.

I was curious if anyone else had seen it (and if so, any idea if it was supposed to be a miniseries or did it just get cancelled quickly?)

i saw, i saw.... 🙂 *laughs* i think it was a mini series, and here in norway, they send mini series on tv each easter, and it's usaly british mini-shows that they send, and this show was one of those shows!! and it's like in 6 parts, isn't it? i',m not sure... 🙂

but it's great!! i remember digging it ALOT when it aired! so cool with that whole vamp bite and how you had to see it with the ultraviolet *sighs*

i always thought that it was ment to be a mini series, and if it grew big enough, it would become a show, but i think i was REALLY of, cos i think it might have been pop, atleat here in norway, (but then again, freaks and geeks are pop in norway, and since we don't make ANY of the good shows, we have no say in anything... 🙁 oh well.. i'm gonna stop ranting now!

Yea - it was a very good show. Star was Jack Davenport (recently in "Pirates of the Caribbean") and it got cancelled after the first series. There was rumoured to be a US re-make on the cards but I think that's still in the first circle of production hell.

You know, Mr. Pointy, when you first said that there was a US re-make on the cards I got excited. But after seeing what the US re-make of Couplings came out like...<shudder>

LOL no offence to the us, but yeah they don't always make good re-makes no 😉 i say keep things original LOL
