Un-aired pilot

Looked only slighty different to me. And Darla....was that Julie Benz? Cuz that chick was kinda pudgy a bit in the face, reminded me of Miss Benz yet she didn't look the same.
 
I thought the aired pilot was so much better. The only thing I liked about the unaired pilot was the library and the staircase scene were Buffy flipped over the side. That was about it.
 
I watched it, also glad they replaced Willow.
But bless the other Willow's cotton socks!
She did a good job, but Willow, it just wasnt for her 😉
 
yeah, i have to agree with yall about willow. i did love that whole flip thing in the library and i also really liked some of the principle's lines that were cut out where he calls her Bunny and Betty. It's a good thing they improved the effects too because the dusting was lame and the vamp face was NOT scary at all.
 
I saw some of it on a website with the Buffy and Angel un-aired pilots on. I can't remember what the site was called but it wasn't a very good site. I'd been watching the Buffy pilot for about a minute and it stopped for no reason. I tried it again but it didn't work at all and the Angel one didn't work. 🙁

yes that ws darla or julie benz that played the vamp to make the first kill...Kinda weird though. Did anyone notice the girl that found the guys body in the locker was persia white? She now plays on girlfriends and once played on some show with ryan gosling, forget the name now.....
 
Actually I thought that Bianca was offered the role, but turned it down. I remember her in an article being like "I didn't know Buffy was going to be as huge of a success.". I think she decided to do another show, but I think it was cancelled early on or not even picked up.

Sarah actually tried out for Cordelia also, which she would have been good at, but she didn't wanna be typcasted as the rich evil girl (like AMC) but yet she begged for the role in Cruel Intentions.

Oh, and library. That was awesome. It was really big and the staircase added a nice touch. But when I look at both librarys, I'm like -- my library at school doesn't look like that LOL
 
From what I heard Bianca accepted the role and then retracted at a later date. Charisma was also afraid of being typecasted due to her role on Malibu Shores. But I think due to Joss's brilliant character development, Cordy was someone we could really like becasue she was "real".

Julie Benz went out for Buffy as well. They liked her, but not for the title role so they gave her Darla.

While kinda on the topic, I hear Nathon Fillion (Caleb) went for Angel as well. Imagine if the show had "the other willow", SMG as Cordy, Charisma as Buffy, Nathon as Angel, it would be so crazy!

That would have been different. Thinking about, wonder if it would have changed our views or if it still would have been great? Wonder if David would have snagged his role on Firefly?

Did anyone actually like the Ricki Lake-like Willow in the pilot?'
 
Nathan Fillon doesn't have the "hunk" quality David does though. I don't think he would have been a good love interest for the Buffy character.

I want to see what the original willow looked like!!! Anyone have a link??

Aww, sorry i couldn't be more of a help. All the screencap sites that offered it were down. Maybe there are some more out there. :confused3
 
OOhh she's icky. I like Ally soooo much better. I couldn't see her being Darth Rosenberg at all!!!!!

The opening clip is so 90210 because it was filmed at the same school...
 
Oh yes I agree Alyson Hannigan made a much much better Willow. I think the first actress they cast looked too nerdy (or they made her look too nerdy).
